Windsor at Ortega is a great facility with an inviting, home away from home atmosphere. It is a safe environment that has a bright, fresh and beautiful interior that looks new and clean. The staff is professional, but caring and accommodates the needs of the residents. There is quick response to the in house health care needs and assistance in getting any additional medical care when needed. There are an assortment of activities,, including a movie theatre providing around the world documentaries and movies from all eras, bingo, trivia, fun trips in the community, festive celebrations of holidays, birthday recognitions and much more for the enjoyment of the residents. I highly recommend Windsor at Ortega as my mother receives the care she needs and has the freedom to be able to participate in the activities or enjoy her privacy, which is a comfort and reassurance to my family.

I like that all of the apartments at The Windsor at Ortega were small one-bedroom apartments, not studios. It was by far my favorite. The halls seemed wider. The doorways were more welcoming and homey. While I was there, a lady had come in and was singing and the residents were all very much enjoying that in the common area downstairs. Every person that I saw there, as far as the staff, greeted me. The facility was very clean and very nice. The menu and the dining room were very nice, too. They have fresh flowers on the table. I was given a dessert when I left. It was a sample of their chef- prepared dessert.

I toured The Windsor at Ortega. The community was fine, the location was the problem. The layout was very good. It was nice. The people were nice. There appeared to be a lot of things to do. The big holdup on this one is the traffic getting in and out there. My friend is still going to be driving, so it would be an issue to be able to try to get in and out of that one. The staff was very welcoming. She was very accommodating throughout the whole thing, answering all the questions, and made sure we can do everything that we need to see.

I went to The Windsor at Ortega for my ward. The only thing I could say about it is it did not have a pool, and my ward wanted a pool, but everything else about it she liked. The staff has been amazing. The building is nice. The residents weren't out and about as much as the other facility. So, although they were out here at all, they weren't out every time I visited. The sizes of the rooms and the layout are beautiful.

We're trying to move my dad into The Windsor at Ortega. What impressed me most was the overall atmosphere of the place. It seemed to have a sort of a homey atmosphere in the memory care unit. And also, the people that I met there were very, very friendly and patient-oriented, centered around the patient's well-being and concerned with what the patient's needs were. I only saw one room and that was the model. It was a little bigger than what my father needed, but it was the smallest room they had. It had its own nice bathroom. The staff who assisted me was terrific. She was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very concerned with their residents' needs. I just feel really good about setting up my dad over there. They had a very nice-looking dining room. The building was beautiful, very clean, and very well-kept.

The Windsor at Ortega was excellent. It was like a room in a hotel. The place was sparkling and I think it's brand new. They took us on a tour for both assisted living and memory care. They were very patient, especially with my brother, talking to him, explaining to him, showing him the room, and everything in there. They were very attentive. We ate at their dining room and it was very clean and very nice. When they brought the food in, it was very protected. You can tell it's fresh and clean. The facility itself was very clean too. The hallways had handlebars displayed so seniors would be able to walk down the hallways. It was very organized.

I just come to visit when they have special events at the facility. I’ve have seen people I know that lived there. They have said it’s a nice place. The events have bee ice cream social, trivia games, chef making health foods and many more. Like today was tailgating. Drove up and received a box of food, inside was some ribs, chicken wings and pretzels. Bc of COVID-19 can’t go in and sit with residents.

My lady has been charged alot of money to be fed food prepared by maintenance man. Yes thst right they have gone through 4 cooks in two months so the maintenance man has been preparing meals. They feed so many fryed foods i wonder if they have an oven. The aids because they don't deserve the title of CNA, either don't do their job or are so busy they cant get to everyone. This is a horrible place. My friend is moving soon.

The Windsor at Ortega is great, but it is just too expensive. The rooms are very nice. It's for people that are very wealthy. The staff member who accommodated me was great and very helpful. Everything in there is first rate. They have an area where people can go get their drinks. It is for higher income people because an average person couldn't afford that.

The Windsor at Ortega was very nice and they had lots of activities. The only problem was that the parking was difficult. However, it was a nice place and I had a good feeling about it. The food seemed to be good and the staff seemed to be fine. I visited both their assisted living and memory care levels. They had all of the amenities.

The Windsor at Ortega was lovely. They had a plant auction for the general public and the residents when I was there. A representative gave me material about the place and I went on a tour. The only accommodation available was a 1-bedroom with a bathroom, but I'm not sure it's big enough for me. The atmosphere of the place was great. I saw good interactions between the residents and my tour guide. The staff members that I saw were extremely interested in the residents. The menu that I have seen sounds good and they have snack bars available round the clock. They have a beauty shop, massage parlor, a pool, workout room, and a good sized library. The place is clean and the decorations are all upscale. They have a calendar of activities for different days, and you can also sign up to take tours. They were able to answer all my questions. The only thing I saw that needs improvement is the receptionist. She's always too busy or not up on what's happening.

My mother has lived at The Windsor at Ortega for more than two years. When we first visited, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and the friendly staff. Mom had several choices of living spaces and was able to move into one that was just perfect for her. She participated in several of the activities, including Wii bowling, bingo, trivia games, daily balance and exercise classes, the "lunch bunch," and just sitting outside enjoying the day. There were so many choices of things to do every day. She had choices of meals in the dining room, and they were served as if in a restaurant. Best of all, the staff is excellent, and I saw very little turnover in that period of time. Mom made a recent move to the memory care unit. She has a lovely room, the same dining options, and the chance to participate in several activities. I'm grateful to the staff for taking such good care of her.

Our parents/in-laws moved to Windsor at Ortega earlier this year. We were so impressed with the facility - its decor, the 'restaurant' where fabulous chef-cooked meals are ordered, the activities, gathering places for residents as well as for family events, planned outings, and staff. Mom was very resistant to give up her home, but we wanted them close by and chose a large spacious apartment - their own furnishings, their own decor! The convenient access is also wonderful - prime location, yet quiet, intimate, landscaped beautifully, and always colorfully decorated for the season! Unfortunately, our dad passed away not long afterwards, and Windsor was an extra blessing for all of us, helping to transition our mom from caregiver to integration into their activities. Having so many services and activities onsite as well as offsite events for her gives her the independence of living along, with access to other residents and opportunities. We love having meals with her there, as well as close-by access to her coming to visit us! We love being greeted by everyone - front desk, care-givers, housekeeping - I have never seen a place where everyone is so friendly, helpful, just genuinely cares about our mom as well as our family! I know many reviews focused on the cost... we analyzed and worried over the same. But when we totaled the cost of maintaining their home, utilities, food costs, cleaning services, in-home medical care and daily attendant care to ensure they were eating, taking meds, etc.etc... when you factor all of those costs plus our time off from work to address 'emergencies' etc (not that we ever minded), the cost was very close. Windsor at Ortega gives us piece of mind- no value can be placed on that- piece of mind that she is safe and being well taken care of.

My mother has been a resident at the Windsor at Ortega Memory Care Unit for approximately three years. When visiting the Windsor in the beginning it was the staff and interior decorating that sold me. Everything wasn't white and it didn't look like a hospital. Since that time I have been impressed with the outings and entertainment they provide residents. I have also developed a friendship with several of the staff that have went up and above to help me handle issues with my mom. They are not the cheapest in the market but my philosophy is you get what you pay for. I say thank you to Veronica and Naomi!

My father is a founding resident at The Windsor of Ortega! He had previously been residing at another community close by on Roosevelt! When we started having issues with the price increase, I reached out to the regional director who basically wouldn't do anything! So, that's when our family decided to look at The Windsor of Ortega! It is beautiful and now what our dad calls home! While you will never find anyplace that is perfect, our family is so thankful to have our dad in such a wonderful place! You could not find a nicer director anywhere , and she always has an open door to talk to you! The nursing director is awesome and is always available! The office staff can't be beat ! The chef is always trying to please the residents by cooking their favorite meals! Most of all, our family does not worry about our dad's safety and well being! We know he is in good hands and feels comfortable being there! Our family and Dad ♥️The Windsor of Ortega!

The Windsor at Ortega is amazing; it is almost like a 5-star hotel. They had bands playing at night, and they had a whole bunch of different programs that they can do in there. They bake cookies, they had popcorn, and they watch movies. The place is like a 5-star resort. The staff was extremely helpful and nice, and they also did a follow-up just asking me how the visit was and if we have decided to go there and since we did not, how come we did not. I told them that we’d love to, but it was $1,000 more a month than the other ones, and they did not accept Medicaid.

The visit to Windsor went fine, and there were no problems. The facility seemed well taken care of, and the staff was pleasant, but we were just not ready to make a decision. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. It seemed like a pleasant place, and location wise, it was closer.

The Windsor at Ortega was very nice. It was a new facility, and I did like the security level. I liked the activities that they did show me. The rooms were kind of small, but it was adequate and very clean too. I liked the approach when I first visited. They did do follow-up, they did talk with me, and also tried to assist me in trying to find different places where we could get funding or some other assistance in trying to find one that I can just talk to and try to get financial help.

My mom has found a place in The Windsor at Ortega. We like it because it's nice, clean, and like a high-end hotel. Everything and everyone is very nice. The staff is very polite and helpful. The rooms are nice, of adequate size, and clean. They clean up the rooms and do laundry, too. The food is good, though my mom doesn't care for it sometimes, but sometimes she really enjoys it also.

It was a nice facility, but it had too much of an effect of a high-class hotel. It just didn't have the homey feel. The staff seemed attentive and personable. I didn't try their food, but I did observe them having a meal. The dining area didn't seem real personable or warm. It had isolated little groups. I was only there for about 45 minutes. I met with one of the counselors, and we just kind of walked through. I really didn't care for the facility. There really wasn't a whole lot I liked about The Windsor at Ortega.

The Windsor was top marks. It was probably the most expensive of the three we looked at. It’s a new facility, very clean. The food was very good; the staff was good. The dining area was very nice; it was more like a restaurant than a cafeteria.

Everything is going really well so far, and there are no problems at all at The Windsor. We got both of my parents in a two-room apartment about 720 square feet, and they have a little of everything. They got a movie theater on the lot, and they got all kind of things like cooking classes and walking classes. They have TV and an area where they can have the family in a room all by themselves. They have 24 hour nurse care. My parents have a small dog, and they pay a little extra a month for people to walk them. As a matter of fact, I found out yesterday a lot of the girls fight over walking the dog because they enjoy it so much. They are very good, and it is a clean place that just opened in June. It is really clean, really conscientious, and really friendly. Any problems they have, they take care of it right away. They'll give me a call to check in with me.

My father is in Windsor and the staff is very helpful, accommodating, very good and friendly. They had a variety of sizes for their rooms and a nice variety of meals. The dining room is clean and spacious. They had blocked entrances and a sign in process. There is a wide variety of activities; cards, movies, cooking, bingo, and puzzles. I would recommend it, and we really liked what we saw.

We were referred to Windsor at Ortega. The staff is very lovely and very helpful. They have lovely rooms; they were brand new and spacious. The Windsor is very new. It's 6 months old. It's very clean, and the staff seemed to be very good. It definitely would have been my choice if they had a higher skilled nursing facility. That was the only drawback for me. They didn't have full skilled nursing

Windsor at Ortega was gorgeous. It was a light, bright, and brand new, beautiful place. And, they had lots of activities and lots of things. I have a friend that lives there, and when I went there with my mom they had something like a Mardi Gras thing going on and it was very nice. This place was like over-the-top gorgeous. They had a movie theater room and lots of parking too. The food was excellent. They had real plates, real silver, and not the plastic stuff. My mom thought it was too fancy.

The Windsor at Ortega is brand new. I'm very impressed with that facility; except that they just had a small refrigerator and a microwave, and my mother wanted a full kitchen. The first thing I like is that every so often between the apartments, they create a large sitting area with tables and chairs, so people don't have to walk any long distance if they want to mingle, which I think is great. They have an extremely large movie theater, and a huge, huge flat screen TV, and they have it equipped for the hearing impaired, too. They have a cooking area in which they hold cooking classes. It's not very large; I think they have about ninety rooms, so it's a bit personal. And then, they have another area, which you won't even know is there. It's a secured area for the people that end up with Alzheimer's or dementia; that they're able to monitor them closer. That would have been the perfect place for my mother. The dining area is very, very nice, and they have tables of different sizes. They provide three meals a day, and two are fitted into the price.

We saw the Windsor, and they were brand new. Everything was excellent. We went there during the building stage, and it was like going into a construction site, but the girl was very nice and helpful. Everyone connected with Windsor was very helpful and friendly. They weren't at the stage where they had laid the floor and had placed the furniture yet, but we did see all of the rooms and the facilities that would be there, and we were impressed with the fact that the laundry machines were on every floor. That was really an extra. We did see a room with a carpet, so we had a good feel of how our furniture would fit. They also had several units that seemed very satisfactory, and for what we were thinking of nursing home rooms, they were very spacious, and we liked that. I liked the security of the place. It was very nice and had everything we were looking for, but it was ultimately too expensive. Since then, they have been calling regularly to see if we have made a further decision.
