I was in this facility for skilled nursing rehabilitation for a month in 2024. If there was an option to give. it a. zero rating, I would. DON'T GO THERE. Many of the staff are incompetent and undereducated. To the best of my knowledge, there wasn't even an RN nurse on site and certainly no MD. ``The people with adequate training and education work for outside agencies, are not employees, are not on site and are not readily available. This greatly diminishes the level of care. The. food is incredibly bad, much of it out of a can, usually cold and frequently other than what was ordered from the. menu. I had to have a CNA or aide removed from my care because she was too rough and caused me extreme pain. There was a time when it was important for me to obtain my medical records. Despite their "Patient's Rights Policy" requiring that I receive my medical records within 24 hours, I was informed it would take 30-60 days, rendering my records useless for the purposes I wanted them.

My grandmother was there for only 2 weeks. They dismissed vital information by family members on numerous occasions. They refused to send her to the hospital and as a result she ended up having 2 seizures. A few nurses have been snotty with my mom on numerous occasions. The meetings they have are useless to the family. During a time like this with covid they should be nicer to family members who can’t go to see their loved ones. The social worker did nothing I did her job for her when I set transportation up I guess they give that title to anyone.

We weren't thrilled with Wadsworth Glen Health Care Center. The physical therapy was good and the care was OK, but the social worker was useless. I would never recommend that somebody move in there. They need to improve their communication and care. They never had enough staff members. My mother would call to use the bathroom, and it would take a long time for someone to come and help her. They also hurt her while she was in there. They dropped her and she scraped her leg, and she ended up with cellulitis. I'm not happy at all with them, but the physical therapy was excellent, and several of the nurses were very good. She said the food was horrible. It was very clean though, and it did not have the smell that some nursing homes have. They hardly had anything there. It's the same old bingo, watching movies, and TV.

I am very disappointed with the care my mother has received at this facility. Unfortunately, I have no say as my other sibling is the poa who put her here out of convenience for herself. Food is lousy, understaffed, unskilled nursing staff, high turnover of aides (ones who take care of patients the most). Not a place I would recommend. Low stars on medicare approval.

With this website, I have learned about the elderly and how the system really works with and sometimes against them. Currently I have an aunt in a nursing home facility and it seems its working well for her and our family at this time.
