Rooms are very small and need updating. Long term areas, Nature Trail and DeerField(?) have old floors, old wallpaper boarders with beat up dressers and closets, bathrooms without proper venting, overall just dated. Staff is regularly short which makes it impossible to provide properly care for the residence. Our family member waited 45 minutes at times for a bedpan or a response for help. Some aids didn't know what the patience/residence were able and not able to do so avoidable stress is placed on these people who are going through one of, if not the most difficult times of their lives. The activities are minimal and repetitive, the outside setting is pretty in courtyard but VERY noises from all the highway traffic noise. Please, never leave anyone here without a friend or family member checking on them daily because there is a lack of care. Management does not have the proper checks and balances to ensure your family member is getting what they need and most, not all, CNA's and nurses offer lower then acceptable care. Even when instructions are in the care notes these are not regularly read and followed. We would get an update on meds or other care from the doctor, we would have to be there to make sure it was done because so many times it was not. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing.

I would like to recognize Glen Hill’s facility for the cleanliness and all the health care people. Everyone from nurses. Doctors, cleaning ladies maintenance, everyone is very tentative and well outspoken in their responsibilities. All very nice and helpful to everyone 2 people I’ve visited My mother-in-law and my sister. They were very well taken care of. I would suggest to anyone. Glen Hill is the place to be for nursing care.

Dad was here and it was a horrible experience. Physical Therapy and Occupational therapy was Excellent The nursing staff management and onsite Doctor was a joke He was left alone for several hours in SERIOUS condition and sent to Danbury Hospital and admitted with a SERIOUS Staph infection in his blood from catheter put in by Glenn Hill. If you care about your loved ones DO NOT ever send them here. The place is a joke.

I found the nurses and the, physical and occupational therapists at Glen Hill to be excellent overall. The same cannot be said for the CNAs. With the exception of three aides, I found the CNAs shirked duties, were lazy, did not communicate well with one another and spent much time talking in the hall. My bed was not changed every day either. But the major issue I have with Glen Hill is the fact that they took drugs away from me on April 17 and could not find them on May 13. This is totally unacceptable!

Glen Hill is the best place. I had my mother there on two separate occasions following surgeries. The staff is very kind and caring. Therapy was excellent and even treated her on the weekends. The administrator and Director of Nursing were very attentive to our needs. Glen Hill is a home away from home facility. We traveled from WTBY just to come to Glen Hill. I would highly recommend Glen Hill to everyone.

I had my mother and father at Glen Hill in 2014, 2015 AND 2016. ALL of their stays were excellent. The staff is great and friendly. Therapy is excellent. Glen Hill is clean and looks like a 5 star hotel. It is very warm and welcoming .

Great care- Over the last 5 years my two aunts and my father have had returned stays at Glen Hill. They continually provide excellent care in a home environment. The nursing and therapy departments are excellent. Recreation always has events going on including weekends. Big things - cruise week, haunted house, spas and variety shows. Social service department made sure they had everything they needed to return home. Glen Hill is the only place I would send my family.

Uncle does not eat pork. the gave him a pork chop. when told again, they gave him a ham and cheese, seriously. Room was cold and unappealing, had a dead plant in it when he arrived. I went to visit, there was no security in the front. A resident told me where to go after i waited for about 20 minutes. Nurse told me that she would come in to "finish" his intake, I was there for over an hour, still didn't come in. Cleaning was done in the evening, the cleaning crew told me to throw the dead plant in another patients room. again, seriously! Not happy with the center and will tell everyone I know about it. Not professional and they do not take care of their patients the way they should.
