My father-in-law is now at Heidi's Chateau for two weeks. It is smaller than the other ones we looked at. It's homey and the staff genuinely care about the residents. We talked to residents while we visited, and I always asked them if they liked living there, and not one person said anything negative. They like the food, and they like the caregivers. It just felt right for my father-in-law. For activities, they have a little setup, they have bingo, and they have exercise classes. My father-in-law took one class the other day. Mostly, he goes down to the dining room and to the community living room where the TV is, and just hangs out with people. The social atmosphere is really good for him. I haven't tried the food myself, but I've been there when he's eating, and it looks good. The food is more than adequate and appears to taste good. They also do my father-in-law's medicine for him. Then hospice comes in and does his showers, and a hospice nurse that comes in once a week to see him. It's an older facility and it's a little bit shabby, but my father-in-law doesn't see any of that; all he sees is the people that care about him.

My parents-in-law are at Heidi's Chateau LLC. Its friendly, clean, and homey. We love the staff, we can call anytime, and they call us to let us know how theyre doing. Theyre very good and they take care of things immediately. They have a studio, a large room, and with picture window in every room. Every morning they have an exercise class, a beautician, and somebody who does their nails. They have a dining room and the meals are great for them . The owner, Frank, is very involved and wonderful.

I found this to be an excellent facility for assisted living. The staff was always caring and medication was not screwed up. Each guest had their own room with a kitchen and the place was beautiful. There was always activities for the guests and the food was prepared well. The place was well maintained and felt safe. The pricing was reasonable considering the nature of the care provided. The staff allowed personal affects to be displayed outside the guests doors and it really created more of a homely atmosphere. There was a specific wake up and activity schedule that helped build a stronger community and I would highly recommend this facility. The staff really cared about the work they did or at least faked it well, which is pleasing in such a facility. It felt like more of a vacation spot than a prison. All in all it was worth it.
