I lived at the Windermere for 16 years. I was very happy there with my cat of 20 yrs. the management was very helpful to those elderly. they joined in many fun activities . they were at the building within 5 minutes during the fire Nov 17, 2018. They cared about us but the city had condemned some of the building hazards and they are rebuilding the Datura side. I wold love to live there again. The swimming pool is very helpful for excercise and better health. The price of all size rooms is less than cost at The Windermere. Join us. You'll be glad you did. Country living at its best.

Southview Place Towers was fairly comfortable but had very old buildings. There were a lot of issues getting things done through the manager and the maintenance people there. They had an indoor people and a social room where they had bingo every Friday night. Some of the ladies formed a couple of groups, like Bible groups and knitting groups, but there's not much in the way of activity for them. They don't offer meal service there. It's strictly independent living, so they all fix their own food.

Southview Place was very nice. It’s old, but it’s well-kept and well-managed. It’s secured and reasonable. It’s an independent for that facility. It’s a regular apartment building, and I’ve got a parking space. They have an indoor pool and an exercise facility. They have games and potlucks, and many of the ladies and some of the men participate in that sort of thing. It’s probably 20 or 25 years old, it’s very well-maintained, they’ve got five or six services, and at least two live in the facility. There are 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, but I prefer to be in a modern facility, and I had to buy a microwave. It doesn’t have the nice big closets, but it has adequate closet space and a small locker in the basement for the apartment; it’s very small. It seems very quiet, they don’t have any disruptive behavior, and it’s secured. There is a twin door where you enter. They have to call the apartment and need to roster everyone and their apartment number, and they just buzz them. The underground garage is huge; you have the exit building in the rear, and it’s about 20 yards. The place is monitored with security cameras, and it’s a place I would recommend.

we have lived at Southview for 3 years and plan on living there for some years to come. The facility is kept clean and they try to keep it updated. Besides having the staff living at the apartments the staff is very friendly and courteous and helpful.

Everyone I met at Southview Apartment had been very wonderful. The rooms and the environment were very clean and I would recommend it to others.
