Staff very caring, rooms are kept clean and picked up. My wife has been a resident for a little over a year and I could not be more pleased with her care. Before the virua, I went there every day for a couple of hours. The staff always encouraged my involvement with the activities and my wife and I got pretty good a Bingo. I definitely would encourage you to visit a few times unannounced and see for yourself

We toured Highline Place. The facility was well-kept, and not overly large. The administrator that we met and a lot of senior staff had been there since the place was opened. We got there late in the afternoon, so the residents were getting ready for dinner. They had televisions on and some of them were playing games. Since it is a memory care facility, a lot of them were just sitting there. The lady that we met with told us that they get them out of their rooms in the morning, and they just don't sit in their rooms or out doing stuff all the time. They had a craft room. They had a salon. They had an outdoor courtyard with a barbecue that they would use during the summer. They had a small putting green. There are definitely some things for the residents to do.

My husband lived at Highline for almost 2 yrs. The first year his care was pretty good with adequate care and activities. Then they started loosing their long term caregivers because their pay and working conditions were not that great. Communication was limited from the nursing staff, took a long time to get emails answered, I always had to ask for a care conference except when they wanted to discuss an increase in monthly costs. Was not informed that he was going downhill when I couldn't come and visit as often due to my health problems. Moved him to another smaller memory care center with much better care.

I met Tracy when I went to visit Highline Place Memory Care and she was very knowledgeable and very good. They have three meals a day, which is good, and the dining area was adequate. They have companion rooms though (which we do not prefer) and it was far away from us. We had trouble finding that one, so we were a little late, but Tracy took us anyway. It's right off Broadway, so it would be noisy. You had to go down a little hill to get to it. I'm sure it was a place that's probably good for memory care people, but we weren't at that stage yet.

Our Father has been a resident at Highline for some time now in the Memory Care Unit. Highline does a great job. Dad is well cared for, content and safe. The facility is spotless, the staff are kind and friendly and genuinely care about their residents as people. Highline has done a superb job handling the Covid-19 Virus and we are confident that Dad is in a very safe facility.

My husband has been a resident at Highline Place for about 6 months and I feel SO blessed to have him there. The staff, administration and atmosphere are wonderful. I have received regular communication regarding my husband (even during the Covid-19 quarantine) and I feel 100% confident and comfortable with the care he receives. Thank you to all the wonderful, caring individuals who make Highline Place a special "home-away-from-home" for my husband.

We consider it a miracle that we found Highline. My mom needed 24-hour care quite suddenly, and we visited Highline. she was in within days. She lived at her home for over 60 years, so we were nervous about the transition. Here we are a year later during the COVID Pandemic, and these people have been absolute angels. Helping her FaceTime with us and doing absolutely everything they can to keep everybody safe. The activities, interaction and love on a normal day are second to none.

My mother has moved into Highline Place Memory Care. The staff seems pretty good. They take her out on outings, and they seem to have a lot of activities. She's still very confused, but she's fine staying there. It's a pretty good place. My only concern so far is the laundry gets misplaced. The food looks okay, and she's gaining weight. They could work on cleanliness just a little bit, but other than that, it's fine. It's on the expensive side, but I like the fact that they do everything in-house and that's very convenient.

I cannot say enough good things about Highline Place. My dad was in their facility for about 7 months. Every single member of the team was fantastic. Such difficult work, yet they all genuinely seem to care about the people they are caring for. Facilites are immaculate, activites are creative and engaging. The food is really good. I live out of state, and it was such a comfort for me to know my dad was in such good care. From the top down, a remarkable place--and that's something you just don't find very often in skilled nursing or memory care facilities. You MUST check out Highline if you're looking for options. (The five star rating should tell you everything.)

I visited the memory care level of Highline Place. We chose this community because we loved that they had so many programs specifically for those that have memory issues. The place was clean, the people working there were very friendly, and even the residents seemed to enjoy it. I think the rooms were well-designed and setup, and they have several options to choose from based on what your loved one would need. The room we chose has its own shower, which wasnt the case with another place we looked at. The food program is nice because they have a main dining area, and they also give them some freedom concerning what they want to eat. Its well-designed, well-thought out, and nutritionally balanced. They were at the top among those places we looked at. The employees were very knowledgeable, especially with people in memory care.

Caregivers at Highland Place provided excellent care and always treated residents with respect, preserving their dignity. Health concerns were addressed quickly. Residents were quickly attended to and kept engaged. When we needed memory care services for a second family memeber, there wasn't any doubt we trusted their care to Highland Place. We could leave Highland Place knowing they were safe and well cared for.

A facility that makes you enjoy your stay with a very efficient, caring staff who go out of their way to see that your needs are met, with never a feeling of being too busy to help. Very good food, clean room always, and plenty of good activities. Great place.

My mom stayed at HLP for three years and passed away there in hospice care. I never worried about her there. The staff is loving and caring; much better than a former facility she was in.

Gave equipment such as chair and bed alarms. Given me a peace of mind if she falls out of bed (my sister) or gets up from wheelchair they will know it immediately. Caregivers and staff are very attentive and quick to help and give assistance.

Highline Place is very nice. I visited my brother a couple of times after he was checked in and then he was in the hospital, so I didn’t get to see the place very much, but I know it is very nice. As far as I know, there aren't any issues, and he is getting excellent care.

I think Highline Place and its people are amazing. I have nothing bad to say about it. The food is good. They invite the family to stay and have meals with their loved ones, and the food is delicious. I’m impressed with the people, and the way that they care for their clients. They have a lot of activities, like walking, bus trips, volleyball, bowling, singing, and watching old-school movies. I looked at several, and this one was by far the best. I walked into the place and just immediately felt like this is where my mom belongs. The communications director is amazing. Now that my mom has been there for two months, they have been very good about communicating as far as changing medications or anything they think she needs. They’re also accommodating. They will make sure she gets the special foods that she really likes.

Highline Place Memory Care was new, but what was really important was that it was clean and the people seemed happy. The attitude of the people and food were good. The rooms were of decent size. Most of the places I looked at were either too nice or somewhere I would not leave my dad. We're very happy with him being there. He's happy and healthy. They have lots of activities, go on field trips, and are busy all the time. They had a Father's Day Pancake Breakfast for all of them and the families, and it was very nice. Dad is encouraged to participate in the activities.

I would give Highline Place four stars. The staff seemed nice and very friendly. I liked that they didn't have as much carpeting as some of the other places do. I don't think it's a good floor choice for dementia patients or residents.
Provider Response
Thank you so much for your comments. We have expanded our flooring area to include additional space for the vibrant activities and events we have in our community for our residents. I agree with you on the flooring choices and options as they relate to Assisted Living Memory Care. We are always doing our best to find those best practices that will fulfill our purpose to protect, engage and love people living with memory loss and to provide them with understanding and significance. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Bill Boles Executive Director Highline Place

Our mother has lived here for 2 years and has received exceptional care from day one from all of the staff - caregivers, CNAs, nurses, administration, activities people, kitchen help and chefs, etc. We are so happy and grateful for our mother's care at Highline Place.
