My mother stayed in Woodside Healthcare Center for skilled nursing and rehab. I liked best that there's a nice area to sit outside with big trees and a garden; the least would be the shared room. The staff did the bare minimum. The food was healthy but bland. The structure is old, small, hospital-like, and I can't stand fluorescent lighting. It's old, it's not updated. The room was tiny. They had an exercise class but hardly ever got her to go. They didn't want her walking, but they wouldn't get her with a wheelchair to go. That was canceled a lot. So I really wouldn't call it physical therapy at all, even though they said it was. They did have a resident's talk like a group chat, which she enjoyed. She had her own TV, but she didn't know how to use it and they wouldn't come help her every day, even though I asked them to over and over. The staff was kind of rude. They acted like I was putting them out when I would call and ask them to help my mom with things because she would call me rather than ask them She's shy. They also didn't answer the phone a lot and it didn't go to voicemail. So the phone would ring and ring, and no one would pick up. The social worker was really rude to me. She shamed me because I hadn't been to see my mom yet, but I was extremely busy and on the phone with her several times daily. She acted like I was despicable for not getting there yet, and it was an hour away from me too. They did not help with placement at all. They gave me two names of places that were awful. They were not helpful.
