"I like all the activities at Aqua Ridge of Montclair, as well as the socialization, and the fact that I don't have to cook. They have three meals a day in a restaurant-style setting. The staff was very friendly. They offer transportation to doctor appointments. They have exercise rooms and a hair salon (they have a person outside the community who comes in once or twice a week for that). The facilities were very clean and very pretty."

"My dad is living in Genesis Manor VI. It's a very clean and a beautiful house, and the people are very well-mannered. The dining area is great. It’s a little less expensive than where my dad used to stay."

"My mom moved into Allara Senior Living. The caregivers are very attentive. The apartment that she's in is very nice and very modern. They clean once a week. They do laundry once a week. They have their meals at the restaurant. It's like a restaurant setting where they have a menu. And the food was good because I've eaten there as well. And my mom raves over the food. She likes it. The community is nice and everyone there is very friendly. They have entertainment. They have people who come in and sing and play music. They go on excursions, but my mom doesn't do that. The community facility is very well-kept and very well-groomed. Landscaping is very nice. There's ample parking."

"I visited Sunlit Gardens Assisted Living. The staff seemed nice, it's smaller, so it's like more personable. It's clean, and I like the area that it's at; out of all the places I have seen, this is the best area. It's in a good community, and it's in Rancho Cucamonga, so it's nice there around; the streets and the stores and the shops nearby are in a good area. They have bingo, exercises, and everything. It felt homey. The staff members were very nice and informative."

"I was very impressed with Holiday Valencia Commons. The people who assisted me were very helpful. I tried their food, and it was a five. They had choices, but if you didn't like anything that was on the menu, then they offered you an ala carte menu."

All of our caretakers have been background checked and cleared by the Department of Justice Genesis has been in business since 1996. The owner is a registered nurse as well as her three children who work along side her. Doctors, psychiatrist, podiatrist home health and hospice visit all Genesis homes on a regular basis. Hairdressers too. We do not have studio apartments. "Claremont Place is a wonderful home for my 90 year old mother with dementia. The attendants and other staff are caring and thoughtful. They all know Mom by name, even those who don't work in Memory Care directly, and treat her well. The rooms are good sized and clean, a good variety of meals are provided, snacks, games, and other activities are available during the day. One of the great things about their Memory Care section, is that the residents can go outside and walk or relax on their own in the nice-sized gated area. They also guide MC residents through cooking/baking activities a couple times a month, enjoying the resulting treats as a group. The community holds family events a few times a year (Mother's Day Tea & Father's Day activity, Easter Brunch, Fall event with petting zoo, Trunk or Treat at Halloween, Luau,etc). My children & grandchildren have enjoyed attending some of these events. My Mom has lived at Claremont Place in Memory Care for over two years now. I have never regretted this decision, as so many of the staff/caregivers treat her with the respect & affection she deserves."

"I toured Oakmont of San Antonio Heights. They just seemed to have everything. The only issue is that it is very expensive. The staff was not only helpful, but they were good with my kids being there. They have a library. They have a doctor. They've got physical therapy. They've got a massage. They've got a movie theater. You name it, they got it. It is a great place if you can afford it."

"Gracious Care #2 was a nice location. I just didn't think my mom would have been a good fit there. A lot of people didn't speak a lot. They were older and the person who took care of the house was primarily a Spanish speaker and my mom speaks English. That's the only spot that we found that would help with her insulin. The house and everything looked good. The rooms looked clean. The shower looked clean. Everything looked clean. They said they shower them every other day. It was at the top tier of my price range. The dining area looked good. We walked through all the rooms. The gentleman seemed very nice. However, I was talking to a lady on FaceTime and she was relaying everything because the gentleman didn't speak any English. We were going through every room and she would say this room costs this much or whatever. This is the dining room, this is the bathroom, this is another bathroom, this is the backyard, this is the kitchen, we make three meals a day for them. She had a lot of information on how they eat and how they run their facility. She was very informative. I guess the owner speaks English, but the guy who overlooks and takes care of the patients is primarily a Spanish speaker."
