Gentle Care Home has been an amazing blessing for my step-Dad, and therefore our entire family. Most other facilities refused to care for him. The owner is very compassionate and has been able to bring peace and trust into my step-Dad's life. It is not fancy, but it is a caring community.

I like that Optimum Senior Care Home was in a community, I like that it was a house, and I like that they had more than one person on staff. The staff members were okay. They were helpful. I saw the kitchen, and it looked clean. The building is old, but it was clean, and the layout was okay. There were no activities, though.

While the facility is a tiny bit outdated, the patients seem happy and comfortable in the GentleCare Home in Lodi, CA. They all have ample space in their rooms and bathrooms, and there is a nice library and reading area as well as a living area. The weather is usually nice enough for outdoor walking and activities. The only complaints I can think of are the food. The patient I visited complained that the kitchen doesn't provide as many fruits or vegetables as he would like, and they feed the residents too many unhealthy products like donuts for breakfast. The hallways were a little small, as well. The residents face a cramped situation when two residents with walkers are going down the hallway at the same time. However, there is a good sense of community and happiness among those living there, and a lot can be said for that. My experience around the nurses was also very good, and the nurses seemed on top of everything and caring.
