My brother was in hospice care at The Vineyard California Armenian Home. Everything they did was very thorough. The people were very friendly and caring, which I take to heart. Anything we needed, they were right there to help us. The whole area was set up for the comfort of the patients and the visitors. They had gaming areas and entertainment. There were all kinds of things. My brother was in a typical hospital room that was private. It had all the facilities that we needed. The interaction with the staff was very good. The meals were excellent, too. I saw people playing in the card areas. The communication between the staff and the patients was really good. They have apartments, rooms, and condo homes where you can live with your families. It's a gated community and it's very safe. I found it to be very accommodating in every way.

We didn't see the rooms because the very generous man in charge let us know in a kind way, that the Vineyards is beyond our price range. It looked beautiful and expansive. The man was generous with his time and knowledge. We so appreciated his consideration.

I'm here at the Vineyards - California Armenian Home for independent living. It is absolutely wonderful. This is like heaven. This is a five-star facility here. The staff members are very nice, very friendly, very helpful, and accommodating to everybody. I have an apartment that's got a full kitchen, a full bedroom, and a full bathroom. It's all set up. It's got crown moldings in it. They offer food here. They have special dining if you like prime rib, lobster, and filet mignon. All that stuff they have up there for you. Mostly the residents that eat up there are independent living. For activities, they have a full gym. They have bingo, poker, and blackjack. They have everything here for everybody. The food is a five. It's like eating on a cruise ship. It is absolutely the best. The place is the cleanest I've ever seen. It's got beautiful grounds. It's the best value you can get for your money.

The Vineyards California Armenian Home is a very huge complex. They were a little more expensive, but the person who gave me the tour was excellent. One of the rooms was a pretty good size. I like that if your parents run out of money, they're not throwing them in the street and they'll put them in the old Armenian Home. It's a nice facility. The apartments were pretty good sized. The other building looked immaculate on the outside. The old Armenian Home was behind the whole complex in the back. The staff was nice and knowledgeable.

The Vineyard California Armenian Home was a very beautiful spot. It seemed to be nice. The caring personnel seemed nice. We were impressed. We looked at a one-bedroom apartment. The only thing I didn't like about the apartment was that the closet space was really small. In the one-bedroom, the closet space is only about 4 feet, and that's it. That was the one thing that I didn't like about it. It has a beautiful outdoor facility and nice indoor assisted living. The staff who assisted me was very helpful. The upkeep looked good. They had activities. We saw them playing bingo. They have a lot of activities for them. They had a recreation room where they do art and they do exercise. They had some exercise equipment. They always had food like fruit out in multiple locations, so if anybody wants a snack, they could always grab some fruit. They had lots of events. When we went there, they were having wine and drinks, salsa and chips, and they had live music going on. Every Wednesday, they have hors d'oeuvres at 4:00, and they have wine, beer, drinks, and live music. Every Thursday night, they have a pizza night where they have their own pizza oven, and you can go get pizza. They had a lot of activities.

My parents-in-law are going to be moving to The Vineyard Armenian Home. The level of care that came from the staff that we dealt with, the friendliness of the residents that we met, it was just a very personable environment. They're going to be moving to a cottage that is brand new and has never been lived in before so that's a nice feature. It's also the largest one we saw, it's 1300 sq ft so that's a definite plus. We were able to try their food, we each had something different and they're all terrific. It's very good. It's not quite as busy with activities as with some other places but I don't think they would need to be any busier than what they're proposing. They have game nights and movies, art classes, and exercises.
