My parents are at The Windham. They were in independent living for about five years and they've been in assisted living for one year. They really like being in independent living because they had a lot of freedom. My dad really enjoys still a lot of the activities like ping pong, Wii bowling, and chair volleyball, those kinds of things. Since they've been in assisted living, it's been a hard transition for them and my dad has not been very happy with the care services for my mom. They always seem to be in a hurry and kind of run in, give her her shower, run out. It's very quick. They don't spend a lot of time doing the care. The food is fine. My parents are not terribly impressed by the food. They have a lot of deep-fried foods which they don't like, and I don't like them to eat it either. They prefer to eat in their room instead of going to the dining room. They pick everything up in a Styrofoam box, which I don't mind. They have a lot of activities. They have a pool, they have gardening boxes if the residents are interested in that, there's a happy hour on Thursdays, and a computer/library room.

I toured The Windham. They showed me around. They don't have any openings, but it was very nice. It seems like everybody was happy. It also smelled nice, and it's clean. The tour was really great. The staff was very nice. The building was very utilitarian and it's well kept. It has a nice, warm atmosphere. People are sitting around casually waiting for dinner and playing games. The rooms were big.

I toured The Windham. The lady that took me on the tour was from England, and the staff, if I asked them something, they were more than happy to answer. They had all sorts of activities. It must have been around Halloween or Christmas that I was there, somewhere near. They had lots of activities, book clubs, and wrapping presents. It was a full community where you could have breakfast and dinner and snacks. They had a menu for seven days a week. You could choose two meals, and if you wanted the third meal, you had to pay for it. But the two meals a day were free. They had plenty of snacks that were free also. They offered me a studio which was 550 square feet. It had a little tiny kitchenette. It had a microwave, a refrigerator, and counter space. I think there was one burner in there in case you needed to heat something up, but I don't remember. A small living room, a small bedroom that you could put a regular-sized bed in, and maybe a dresser. And the reason it was a studio is because there was no definition between the dining, living room area, and the bedroom area.

The first impression I got from The Windham was the activities that were going on. They have volleyball, bowling on the TV, and all kinds of different get-togethers. The apartment was very spacious and very nice. They have beautiful gardens, walkways, and patios in most of the units. The staff was very helpful. Their meals were in very nice portions and change all the time and breakfast can be served all day.

My experience at The Windham was good. The pricing is really outrageous though. Where I live now is equal to what they showed me there except it's about $800 more to live there than here, so they're very expensive. The grounds were not as big as here, but I like the staff. So it was all good except that it's very expensive. Their rooms didn't have complete kitchens, too.

My Dad has been in the Independent Living section of the main building since December. We are all extremely happy with the facility, especially my dad - the apartments are cozy and easy to move around in, the showers are walk-in with grab bars, the Dining Hall is anytime dining and the food is amazing!!! The staff is so kind and attentive, and they make an effort to know the residence by name. The facility is clean, well maintained, open and airy. There are many, many activities to join in and they make a point of celebrating every holiday and event. Please stop by for a visit, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. By the way did I mention how amazing ALL of the staff is.

We chose The Windham for my mother-in-law, mostly because the environment was homey. She went there because she had a friend, another older person, who had seen it. When she went there, she liked the layout and the openness, and she liked the accommodations. We went, and we liked it when we took a tour. The first impression when we came in was that there's a sense of happiness and cheerfulness. It's very inviting. The staff was incredibly gracious and very upbeat. They appear to enjoy their jobs. They found her a perfect room, which was being remodeled. The room was very large and spacious for a single-bedroom home, with a great floor plan and great accessibility. They have lots of activities to do. They also have a welcoming committee, so that when she comes, she'll get acclimated to the place. So there'll be people around who can help her. We're going to go try the food next Monday. The facility itself is immaculate.

The Windham was my favorite of all the places I looked at. They were very nice and very helpful. I considered them, but as mom's health deteriorated, I was afraid she would need more care than she would get there. The staff was great. The room was really nice. My friend's mother lives there, and she really likes it there. The dining area was nice. I was really impressed.

My dad was a resident in the assisted living of The Windham. The care was awesome, the people were friendly, and everything was fine. The place looked new, clean and nice. The staff was very friendly when you walk in, they had our names on the board and welcomed us. They gave us the room that we wanted, and they're very nice. They have a whole list of activities, they have a lot available, and a whole dining room for any time you want to eat. They also have bowling, bingo, a pool table, library, a video library and all different kinds of crafts. There's a lot and a full schedule. The food was good. It is also expensive.

My Mother is a resident at the Windham and since she has been living there the place was sold to a corporation. Since then ever time I go there the residence complain about the food. The cooking staff there has been replaced and the cost of the meals is not work the value of the meals they are receiving. I have scene this first hand and am going to file a complaint. They charge you $14.00 a meal and give you a sandwich and a bowl of lettuce with no dressing they call a salad. Very poor food service, not recommended. Everything else is first class there but there food plan is abdominal.

My aunt used to live at Windham, and my husband and I were kind of considering moving back to California where we moved from. The apartment that we saw was nice. I think it was a 2 bedroom that we were looking at, and we really liked it. As a matter of fact, we have a deposit when a vacancy comes up to consider, and I realized it could be a year or two before a vacancy comes up. It would be suitable for us, and as far as the whole facility, it seemed nice and the people seemed to be happy there. The staff was very helpful; one lady took us and talked to us about the facility, and she was very nice.

The Windham is a new one that opened a year ago. The staff was fine and very nice. It's like being in a really nice hotel with up-to-date facilities. I was impressed by the entryway. The dining room is seated and a waiter takes your order. They're on the cutting edge of what a lot of Baby Boomers are looking for now.

My wife and I lived at The Windham together. I think the people that work there were very considerate, but I could not afford the $2,150 a month by myself after she left me, and it even cost more after we left. They had one- and two-bedrooms with clean one and one-and-a-half baths. There was a lady that came in once a month who did the heavy cleaning. The food was good. They provided three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They had a dining room that you could go to, and they normally wouldn’t seat you with the same person twice because they figured it was nice for us to get to know everyone. It seemed like they had a luncheon out once a month. They had small games, puzzles, music times, and light-hearted contests.

The Windham was a very nice facility with nice accommodations. The people that I saw seemed to be happy there. They had exercise, a library, church services, movies, and a group that goes out to lunch, and they provide transportation to and from your doctors' appointments.

This is a wonderful, beautiful facility, not only the buildings themselves but the staff. I've never seen so many caring, hardworking people making the residents lives so full! I love that they are extremely pet friendly and even have a dog park.

I placed my parents in The Windham. The one-bedroom is a little bigger than most of the others, so that is attractive. For the most part, they have been accommodating. The grounds are mature and landscaped nicely. It feels very open. The dining room is big and tastefully decorated. The food is not bad. They have various activities. They have outings to diner, to the theater, and to shopping areas. The level of care is pretty good. The place is comfortable and gives you a homey atmosphere. It is convenient because it is by all their doctors and the main hospital in town.

We went to The Windham at Fresno, and it was very nice. I would not hesitate to put my parents there at any time. The rooms were very nice and have plenty of space. The independent living area is perfect for those who want to live independently. It’s like a cottage. Their dining room is like a restaurant, and it's nice.

We basically really liked the Windham. They have cottages. We’re in the main building, and they have beautiful surroundings. They have a nice area where you can go outside, they had a fountain flowing, and you could sit around the fountain and talk. The food was the not the best, but the staff and helpers were all very friendly. Everybody is nice.

this is a beautiful place but like the saying goes..all that glitters ISNT gold! my family member said she voiced her opinions and concerns to the staff members and they just brushed her off as if she was not worth their time. The current secretary is rude and very unprofessional when I would call to talk to someone concerning my family member she would tell me to hold and I would be on hold for the minimum 5min. and eventually be disconnected and when i call back she tells me to hold with an attitude and i am being disconnected again!bad service and untrained staff members! *if it was up to me i would rate them but had to
