"We toured The Grove. It's excellent. That's a very nice place. Everybody wants their parents to go there. The rooms were nice, very clean, and large. Amber was very nice. She was informative and helped us understand the process. What I liked most was the cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff and the residents. The problem was it was just too expensive. "The Windham is a beautiful place. Just gorgeous and very, very nice. There were a lot of activities going on. There was a bingo game going on, there was lunch, and people were walking around. They have cottages, and they have different levels. If you're very needy, then you go onto a different level floor and stuff, so that's something I like. The staff members were very nice people, and there was a lot of communication. The food was very good, too. The dining area is just a regular dining room, but the chef knows what he's doing."

"Westmont of Fresno is a beautiful place. It's very lively looking. There is a lot of light that comes in and a lot of activities going on. They have a very good menu. The people were super friendly. The staff was super friendly, too. They gave me a muffin as I was leaving, and it was very, very good."

"I was referred and introduce by a friend to this new facility as i needed a facility to help my mother recover. Jen and Carlos showed us around and for the length of stay she required they were both lovely accommodating the help she needs. Staff was incredibly helpful all the time and glad to have used theirs..Highly recommend and continue the good service you both provide."

"Nazareth House is one of the places we're considering. The main thing I like about them is that it seems like their level of care would be better than in some of the other places. They have more care facilities. It was not as fancy as some of the other ones, but it seemed like if you were worried about your loved ones being taken care of, that would be a place that I would want them to go. The other thing about the Nazareth House is that they have assisted living, but they also have whatever you would call beyond assisted living. They have facilities there for people who are bedridden and can't get out of bed on their own. I thought that was a good thing, especially in the case of my mother."

"Vintage Gardens Assisted Living was a 2-story building. I did not see too many residents walking around or in the common areas while I was touring around. The place was clean and the rooms were nice. The dining area was nice, too. They had water available all day for the residents. They encouraged their water intake. It was more restaurant-style dining with separate tables. The staff was good and the residents that I saw looked happy."

"We visited Oakmont of Fresno's memory care for my dad. The part that stood out to me is that it's very secure, but still feels like they're independent. They really care about their patients who are there. This place is just awesome. They have so many activities that anybody who goes there would not get bored. It's like a little city inside a building. Everybody is so nice, friendly, and caring about everybody there. I even told my sister that when I get up in age, she should tell my kids to take me there. The person who gave the tour was a really nice lady. The staff members are very knowledgeable. They listen to your concerns and questions, and they answer them. They're really concerned about your relatives that you want to take there. They would ask questions about your parents or whoever you're going to put there, and they put you at ease. There was a little snack beverage bar there. They have cookies or snacks if you want. If you wanted water, I think they had lemonade too; it's there. They had a couple of varieties of drinks, so it was nice. The lady who assisted us was also very nice to give us a little gift bag when we left. It was one little loaf of poppy-seed type of bread and a couple of other little gifts. It was unexpected and very nice. The place was very clean, and the whole aesthetic of it is just nice. You walk in and you feel at ease. You could tell just by walking in and seeing how nice the place is, that they're going to take care of your parents very well. They have a nice, large area in the back with walking paths, if the residents want to walk. It also has some benches, so if they get tired, they can sit. There was a gym and even a beauty parlor if they wanted to get their hair done, which was nice. If they wanted a massage, they could also get one. They had a little movie theater set up, too, with popcorn and nice chairs to sit in. They had a schedule outside the door that told the patients what movie they would be playing at the time. There are a lot of activities."

"We got my aunt settled in an assisted living facility called Paintbrush Assisted Living and Memory Care. It's a beautiful facility and she can afford it, and so it works just fine. It is physically attractive and offers wonderful services. They have living areas, game rooms, health facilities, a lovely dining room, and attractive menus for the meals. We were fed lunch, which was very nice. We spoke with the marketing people, the administrators who admit new residents to the facility, a nurse, and the chef. The programs they have there are daily games, entertainment trips, and transportation to medical and other kinds of appointments. They have a whole array of things that are typically available to residents of assisted living."

"My mom has been at River Bluffs for many years. I can't speak highly enough of the quality care she gets from Donna, Alexis and the whole staff. They are caring, knowledgeable, advocate for what's best for my mom with her doctors and treat my mom with respect and friendship. I especially appreciate that they are very careful to make sure that the residents are not over medicated and are instead given accommodations to allow them to enjoy life at River Bluffs with as much humanity as possible. Besides that, the facility is always clean and bright and joyful and the garden is gorgeous."
