Over a five year period there were very few problems and when anything did come up they responded quickly from the office. The sincerely loving and caring nature of the caregivers was remarkable. At the same time they were very professional and worked well together as a team with each other and with the hospice staff. They arrived consistently on time or actually a bit early in order to make for a smooth shift change. They nearly all had a very positive attitude about their job and about their employer."

"We have someone from Valley Home Care - Fresno, CA, coming in and taking care of my husband three mornings a week. He comes in from 9 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon. He gets him up and into the shower and makes sure that he's washed, dried, and dressed. He also puts him in his wheelchair and takes him outside. They go up and down the block and talk. He just gets outside for a little while if the weather's good. The carer makes sure that he's comfortable and that he has everything he needs. It's just good to have someone else besides me for him to communicate and talk with. His inability to take care of himself has only happened for about a year. I tried to take care of him as much as I could, but then it just got to where it was too overwhelming for me physically. He has Parkinson's, and his body is now very stiff, so I can't get him out of bed. The young gentleman who's been helping us can do that and can take care of him. They also get along really well. They just have a really good rapport, and that's just really important for my husband. I'm up with my husband a couple of times at night, so when I have somebody here, I'm able to take a nap and try to keep my health up. They have just been excellent, and they just treat us so well. They take such good care of us."

It's convenient because it isn't only just calling; they can also text you, so that's awesome. They are just very quick to respond. What they do is more companionship, some household chores, and helping with showers if they need it. They would also take them to doctors appointments. You could have a different caregiver come in every time, but we opted to have the same caregiver come in every time. We are getting help with MediCal, so that's what they charge, and they charge it through the voucher. If I go over the allotted voucher allowance, I believe it is around $30 per hour. I feel that would be a really good price for what they do."

"I just used ResCare Homecare for my husband once in a while. They were recommended to us by a friend who used them. Relatively, I've used them only a couple of times. I used them when I went out of town, so Brenda came and stayed for a few days, and then our friend has this one lady that comes all the time, but Brenda was busy, so Cindy came and took care of my husband the day that I had surgery. So I know a few of the ladies. I am very satisfied with them. "

My mother really likes them and likes their service and she's very spoiled. They come in 3 times a week to check on them and make sure she's taking the pills she's supposed to be taking. " Carefully read. My father who is 92 and has an onset of dementia was being "helped" by Seniors Helpers. Their ads on their site say how careful they are with their helpers going into a patient's home and they wear masks. An absolute lie. Here is what their under trained "help" have done to "help" my dad. My dad takes a lot of medication which is to be administered at certain times and in certain delivery methods. I found out the aides were crushing all his medicine together and giving them to him all at once in a spoon. That could have killed him, period. None of the aides wore masks not ever. When I asked an aide to wear a mask when she comes into my dad's home she left and never came back. I called the case manager at the Senior helpers and the secretary told me to call the VA. The case managers did not want to come to the phone. I called the day before because the aides were not cleaning at all. I came back from overseas on business to my dad's home after an aide just left and his toilet had crap caked all over it not cleaned for weeks. Floors were thick with grease and dirt. The rug was never vacuumed probably for months. I called the case manager and she said all their aides had to do was a light dusting, run a vacuum and wipe down counters. That's it! The case manager informed me that my dad's place was filthy and had to be deep cleaned. That's interesting before I left for overseas I had a real professional come in and clean my dad's apartment. His place became filthy because the aides without any real supervision didn't do a dam thing. They don't wear masks and they don't wash their hands after I observed them through my cameras. There is no supervision of their help. It appears they think I am the problem the managers were ridiculously unprofessional! They don't check their help background some had criminal records and one lady keeps coming around and asking my dad for money. This was after she was fired a year ago! Their so-called help reports everything including private phone conversations to social services and other government agencies. I know this because I found paperwork left by an aide! I can prove every bit of this as a R.N has observed the same issues in other homes. Senior Helper is an absolute disaster! This isn't the end of it"
