You could have a different caregiver come in every time, but we opted to have the same caregiver come in every time. We are getting help with MediCal, so that's what they charge, and they charge it through the voucher. If I go over the allotted voucher allowance, I believe it is around $30 per hour. I feel that would be a really good price for what they do."

"Angeliecare was very good. Right from the office, from the supervisor, and from the helpers that came out, I didn’t have any problems with them. If I had a little bit of an issue, not a disagreement, immediately it was taken care of. Maybe a person is not quite as compatible with my dad, or with the helper that we also had there, they accommodated us by replacing the person with somebody else. I couldn't have any better care for my dad than the president wouldn't have gotten. The supervisor that came out when we interviewed her gave us everything that we possibly would need for information. The first day that they were on the job the supervisor, Cruz, came and was there to accommodate, and anything we needed to get the first day started. Every time I call the office on a question they would be very helpful to receive me on their end of the line. The people in the office even when it was time to do the finances, the owners were accommodating to me, so all the paperwork was always straight. From day 1 when they came out they were on time. They oversaw everything. They know exactly what's involved in home care."

" Carefully read. My father who is 92 and has an onset of dementia was being "helped" by Seniors Helpers. Their ads on their site say how careful they are with their helpers going into a patient's home and they wear masks. An absolute lie. Here is what their under trained "help" have done to "help" my dad. My dad takes a lot of medication which is to be administered at certain times and in certain delivery methods. I found out the aides were crushing all his medicine together and giving them to him all at once in a spoon. That could have killed him, period. None of the aides wore masks not ever. When I asked an aide to wear a mask when she comes into my dad's home she left and never came back. I called the case manager at the Senior helpers and the secretary told me to call the VA. The case managers did not want to come to the phone. I called the day before because the aides were not cleaning at all. I came back from overseas on business to my dad's home after an aide just left and his toilet had crap caked all over it not cleaned for weeks. Floors were thick with grease and dirt. The rug was never vacuumed probably for months. I called the case manager and she said all their aides had to do was a light dusting, run a vacuum and wipe down counters. That's it! The case manager informed me that my dad's place was filthy and had to be deep cleaned. That's interesting before I left for overseas I had a real professional come in and clean my dad's apartment. His place became filthy because the aides without any real supervision didn't do a dam thing. They don't wear masks and they don't wash their hands after I observed them through my cameras. There is no supervision of their help. It appears they think I am the problem the managers were ridiculously unprofessional! They don't check their help background some had criminal records and one lady keeps coming around and asking my dad for money. This was after she was fired a year ago! Their so-called help reports everything including private phone conversations to social services and other government agencies. I know this because I found paperwork left by an aide! I can prove every bit of this as a R.N has observed the same issues in other homes. Senior Helper is an absolute disaster! This isn't the end of it"

"We needed care for my father, who had had a fall and spent 3 months in hospital and skilled nursing. We weren't exactly sure how much time he would need or what services would/could be provided. Shirene, who was fantastic, met with us and went over all options. We decided on starting with 16 hours a day, as he needed quite of bit of care while he was up and awake. Over time, his needs would change so Shirene, and the rest of the staff, continually worked with us while we adjusted his schedule. He is now having caregivers come three mornings a week.
