"Walnut Park is a very nice, very clean, and very homey facility with wonderful people and lots of activities. They have a little bus to take them places and do all kinds of things with them. My mom’s room is small, but they all are. It is better than the other ones that we have seen. It is a nice room with a living room, a bedroom, a little kitchenette, and a bathroom. The food is good and nutritious, and she gets three meals a day. "

"We visited Quail Park for my parents, and this is the one I like the best. To me, it looked like a very comfortable environment. It was new, clean and well-used by the residents. Everybody seemed to be active and doing stuff. Everybody seemed moving around, going places and taking advantage of all of the extra facilities that they have, like the weight room, the nurses office, and the beauty shop. Everything was being used, and all the residents seemed to be very happy and cheerful like they're moving among friends. Also, the person that was showing me around seemed to know everyone by first name and greeted everybody and visited with them. It just left a very nice impression. "

"Recently toured this building and was really really impressed. The Executive Director Jeff gave us the tour. The building is brand new and they have really put some thought into what retiring seniors want in senior living. They have three dining options, not just a dining room. The food is outstanding. They have a fitness center with an indoor pool and a fitness instructor. They seemed a little pricey but once I added up everything included in the monthly rent, it didn't seem that bad. Make sure you check out the game room. I could see lots of football watching, poker parties in there."

"My friend's mother moved into this facility a number of years ago and I have tagged along with her to visit frequently. I have always been impressed by the level of activity going on at Sierra Hills. Every time we visit we hear announcements of some new activity. The last time it was for Nickel Bingo. Staff and residents alike seem to be cheerful and over time some of the staffers have gotten to where they recognize not just my friend who visits multiple times a week but also me, who tags along just once in a while. My friend's mother says she is very happy living at Sierra Hills, and it shows as she is doing better than ever since moving into this place. She still has the privacy of her own apartment with a balcony, and her cats were allowed to move in with her. However she doesn't have to deal with the housework and cooking that was becoming too much for her as she got older since the facility takes care of all these things for her. Instead she gets to spend her time with the friends she has made, visiting each others apartments, in many of the common areas, or when the weather is nice, outside in the gardens. "

"This is an older multi-story senior housing facility operated by non-profit organization with rates based on a sliding scale for independent living. The apartments are very clean but gently used with a balcony. The location is great, next to the public library and downtown Visalia so it's close to shopping. A big plus is that it's located near the Senior Citizens Center for easy access to meals and resources. The dining room is used for activities and snacks/coffee; the kitchen was closed due to personnel expenses. There are activities planned, like the Xmas tree decorating party, a small media room, and library. Small pets are allowed, another plus. The grounds are nice, but small with a couple of benches for sitting and some nice orange trees. Only downside is the traffic, but the facility is completed gated so its secure. "

"I'm in Manor House. I don't have to participate in activities, but I can if I wish. The food is excellent and I don't have to do anything. They do everything for me. This is a big adjustment, and I did not expect to be so content right away, but it's as close to a home situation as they can make it. And I'm very comfortable, and just really happy here. The staff treats me like they're related to me like they're my children. They're very kind and again, they do everything for me. They keep the place spotless. We go to the dining room, have food served family-style, and it's all been delicious. There's an exercise class, the church is a few feet away from the front door, so we can go to the church for bible study, we can play bingo. There are all kinds of things we can do if we wish."
