We decided on The Remington. Our tour was very good. We like its location. The upkeep is excellent. The visuals are excellent. It seems to have everything we need. They have dining, a physical fitness center, and a library. The staff are all very friendly. The food is all very planned out, but the menu is not always to our taste.

I toured The Remington Senior Living. It's a very nice, beautiful place, and the people there are nice. The lady who showed us around was wonderful. They have lots of activities. They have breakfast, lunch, and supper. They have a lot of things to do. The facility is very clean. The food was very good.

The Remington was a great facility. I think it's reasonably priced. The issue is it's a retirement home. It's not a care facility and mom is at a point where she needs care. With her dementia, there's nothing to keep her from walking out the front door into the street. It's just not that kind of a facility. So, that wouldn't work. Nothing's wrong with it. The apartments were beautiful and they were set up well. They're clean. All of the areas looked very nice. It's a good place for someone who doesn't want to maintain a home and do any more cooking or cleaning. Their eating area is like a restaurant. They have different things they can choose from. It's very nice. I didn't look at the larger units, but we were looking at studios. They have two sizes, one is very small, and then the next one up is a nicer unit. They have areas where they do arts and crafts. They also have trips where a bus comes to pick up the residents and they can go to the mall, they can go shopping, and a lot of different things that they can do. I know people that live there said that the food is excellent.
