Sierra View Homes was very nice. They had separate memory care and skilled nursing, but it was a notch lower in facility quality than the other place. Everything else was about the same, but the facility quality was a little more rundown. The staff were great. They're very, very nice. The rooms were very similar though. They had a beauty salon and a courtyard.

We visited Sierra View Homes over at Ridley. It's older, but it was nice. The staff were nice, too. It has a lot of spaces for group activities. The individual senior apartments all have good lighting. They were nice but older, so they could use some upgrades. Some of the apartments were getting new tile or linoleum; they're in the process of upgrading. One good thing about it is that when you live in the independent living, you're guaranteed a spot should you need to move to the other levels, which is really nice. So if you're going to break your hip, you could go to their skilled nursing level. If you get Alzheimer's, you could go to their memory care, and you're guaranteed a spot.

I liked Sierra View Homes. It was very nice and clean and had independent, assisted, and memory care, so it was good. I didn't notice any odor or anything out of the ordinary. We were in one of the vacant rooms, which was comparable to most places. The community was nice but a little expensive.

We visited Sierra Homes. There was this one lady who was very helpful, nice, and took us around to the apartments. It was a very nice facility. The one apartment we saw was very nice for independent living.

What I like about Sierra View Homes Retirement is that they have apartments where I could go and my husband would be right across the wing. Their memory care unit was excellent. The door locked to go in, but all the doors inside did not lock. The rooms were off of this big oval, so that Alzheimer’s patients would not get very confused when they hit a wall. There, you would never hit a wall, just walk this oval. In the center of this oval, they had four glass doors leading out that to this garden area. Sierra View Homes was my favorite but there wasn't an opening for my husband at that time. They were very kind and friendly. The lady who showed us around knew everyone’s names.

Everything was excellent. They had either apartments or rooms, and of course they had the full scale of nursing care, from independent all the way to specialized care. It was a beautiful place, bright, and open. Everybody was extremely friendly and looked happy to be there. Sierra View has a two-year waiting list, and we are on their waiting list.
