We started using Escort Home Care last year for my parents. We had them keeping the house neat, doing their laundry, and fixing them a meal if they were there at the right time to do that, at least making sure that they had food if they wanted it. We were there a lot of the time that the caregivers were there, and it was nice to know that we didn't have to be when the caregivers were there. They were all wonderful. They were kind, thoughtful, and efficient. There were several that were just outstanding. There was only one really that was not great, and he didn't last very long. Escort Home Care replaced him with somebody who was absolutely outstanding. So, I was thrilled. They billed us monthly at my request, they sent the bill by email, I sent the check to them when I got it, and they were just great. They were very flexible in their scheduling. It was really whatever it was that we most needed. Sometimes we had somebody there every day. Sometimes we had somebody there once a week, and they were perfectly OK to handle whatever schedule was best for what dad needed at the time.

We're using Escort Home Care. They offer more than we needed or utilized, but as my father's condition progresses and my mom gets older, we require more. It's been very good with regards to providing us the services that we need. We have one that is very stable and that we love. He gets along with my father. My father is not a very easy client and the caregiver does a very good job of working with him and gets him to do the exercises and the things that he doesn't enjoy. So that's a bonus. There have been some that have not been so successful, or my father doesn't particularly care for them for one reason or another and it was easy to change that individual. Billing has been fairly standard, and there's no difficulty working with long-term insurance. As far as scheduling, we're still working that out to try to increase the number of hours and to make sure that there's coverage every weekday.
