The staff at Collingwood Manor are very nice and many of the staff that currently work there have been working there for many years. The amenities include a bed room with a bed. Some of the patients have there own room but many of them share. the facility has a few bathrooms with showers that the residents share. Daily meals are provided and snacks are given through out the day. Residents are also monitored my staff if needed. The outside of the facilities have been renovated so it looks nice on the outside. On the inside of the facilities some of the tiles are in the process of being re-tiled. but pretty much the facility looks that same as when I visited it about 13 years ago. A lot for the equipment that used such as lifts ect. are out of date possibly dating back to the early 1900's when the nursing facility was used as a hospital.

I went to visit this nursing home because I wanted to deliever some smiles to senior community. Whether it be making them laugh or just sitting there listening to their stories, I feel it is important to not to ignore the elderly. Collingwood Manor resides in beautiful Chula Vista, California and it is a great place. The room are nice and homely, the seniors are served three meals a day, and the great San Diego weather allows great leisure time. I love how the staff are friendly, professional, and compassionate. The one draw back is the home is near a pretty busy street, and I would hope safety of the residents is a top priority.
