And, the dementia village concept is a “neighborhood” environment that includes separate and themed spaces within the community such as a bistro, theater room, coffee corner, etc.

There are art, reading, movie nights, and many other activities designed to help all residents have a well-balanced and enjoyable experience.

Roseleaf is a secured community due to our memory care population. However, for resident families, we are located close to the Chico Mall, Kohl's, Target and many restaurants.

Roseleaf Senior Care has a handicapped equipped van for medical appointments and outings. And, in addition, a mid-size bus for larger activities and needs.

The dining program and menu is directed by a Registered Dietician for the Roseleaf Communities which is nutritionally balanced and includes a changing menu throughout the year that concentrates on seasonal choices.

Resident safety is always a primary focus. The residents are assessed for safety awareness and physical needs with their physician previous to the actual move-in and part of the process. The community has indoor and outdoor secured spaces, monitoring systems, and staff that is trained on-going per state regulations on dementia care specific care and interventions.

We of course are always available to discuss resident care with residents and family. And, the resident care coordinators are also available for phone, in-person, or care conferences.

We have found through time and experience, and with our focus of dementia care, it is not safe or advised to allow dogs and cats. Unfortunately, in this environment, the risk outweighs the benefits included safety and allergy issues that may arise and the ability (or not) of the resident to be able to take care of their pet.
