My friend's mother was living in Avalon Courtyard. It was very beautiful -- just the whole setup of everything. It had a gym, a little golf area, a recreation room, and a kitchen. Everything that was available for the seniors was just unbelievably amazing. She had her own kitchen, and she cooked. It was nice to the point that I would have considered living there too, but I was overqualified. She was on Social Security, so that qualifies her to be there. It's a big building, and they made it up really nice. The outside appearance of it was wonderful. I really liked it a lot. She was very happy there.

I visited Avalon twice and I saw that there were a lot of activities for the seniors. The place was really nice with the ambiance of a hotel. The manager, a very nice lady, she told me where else to look for senior housing, it helped me in the decision making process. I am waiting for an opening so I can move there.
