"My brother is at Harbison Shores. The first night wasn't good, I heard he paced all night in the room but the second day seemed a bit better. My family has been starting to visit him to provide some continuity and some constant in the middle of all the changes. I'm still working on something about contacting him but they don't think a landline in his room was a good idea. So now I just call the facility and they would go and get him. It's alright but it seems like he's having a conversation with someone standing right there listening. It's fine though, at least I'm able to reach him. The facility so far has been good. No issues there."

"My Mother has been a resident at Springfield Place since April of 2008. She has resided in their Apartments , Assisted living ,and is now a resident of their skilled nursing unit. The staff in the Assisted Living unit ,are the best and my mom got wonderful care while residing there . "

"We toured Woodbridge of Clinton. It felt more like an institution instead of a home. It was an older building, but it was clean. I didn't like the fact that you had to use an elevator to get up to the rooms. The staff were very nice though."

"I found Generations of Batesburg-Leesville for my father. It's assisted living. You got your own little kitchenette, and a living room. It looked pretty clean. The people I spoke to seemed to be pretty nice, but I don't really know them that well. He loved the food and the kind of food they have is country cooking, like cornbread. They have flowers around the place, the grass is cut, and everything is clean. For me, it's a little far. It takes me an hour and a half to get there. It's in the country."

"I'm interested with Generations of Irmo. It looks very nice. They are updating it so that it doesn't look dark and dreary. They have some amenities like all the rest. They have six meals a day, cleaning the room weekly, laundry weekly, and they will take care of whatever need that you have, whether it's medication or help with shower or dressing or whatever. The room rate is one price only. The owner was very thorough and very helpful. I haven't really met a lot of the staff, but the ones I did were very friendly. The dining area was bright and cheery."

"My mom was here and it was a wonderful place. It had a very nice atmosphere and the people were very nice. The staff were great and they had their own chef. She had a small kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave, a bath and it was very nice. However, my mom had Alzheimer's and she was unhappy because sha was not in her home. But I liked everything in the facility and I would recommend it to others."
