Generations of Batesburg-Leesville is a lovely place. The people there are really nice. The owners running the place are very kind and compassionate people. My aunt seems to be doing very well with physical therapy. In fact, I think she's walking straighter than ever. She usually has to hunch over. She still has to use her cane, but she seems to be standing up straighter just in the matter of weeks and I just don't think I can help her that way. The facility is nice and clean. I think there's only some carpeted areas, but her room is hardwood floor. They seem to encourage everybody to get together and get along. I didn't get to see the activities in action, but a friend of mine who's kind of running my aunt's affairs right now said that she was up there one day and my aunt was playing bingo and having a nice time. I think she's enjoying it and getting used to it, and I've been impressed with it so far. They also have nice grounds that's pretty accessible for walking outside, looking at a fountain and things like that. She's got a window in her room and her own bathroom. She said the food is pretty good. $2,400 is not bad. That's one of the best prices I've seen for a place that nice. Some of the other places were like posh hotels, but we couldn't afford that. For the money, I think it's an excellent place.

I found Generations of Batesburg-Leesville for my father. It's assisted living. You got your own little kitchenette, and a living room. It looked pretty clean. The people I spoke to seemed to be pretty nice, but I don't really know them that well. He loved the food and the kind of food they have is country cooking, like cornbread. They have flowers around the place, the grass is cut, and everything is clean. For me, it's a little far. It takes me an hour and a half to get there. It's in the country.
