Do not be fooled by facilities that show you all the glamorous rooms and programs they offer, those are set up as showrooms. ALWAYS ask them about End of Life, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care, your loved one may not need it now, but it could be a possibility in the future. Know what is expected of you if the money/insurance runs out, know the options bf you place your loved one with a facility. We toured a place that looked like a country club, but they didn’t provide skilled nursing, if needed, or around the clock care, they said they had a tech available at night. Caring.com got me started and was a valuable resource. They didn’t try to guide us to certain places, no conflict of interest, just told us what was available in our area. After visiting 15 places, we chose The Clinton Presbyterian Community. They offer multiple layers of care, very clean environment and the staff were very friendly and caring. My Mom says the food is great, that’s a plus!

My husband needed to go to a rehab facility after a very big surgery. Out of the list given to us at the hospital we picked Presbyterian Community in Clinton SC. It had 5* ratings across all categories and now I know why. This place is awesome! The staff is very caring, knowledgeable, available when needed and so easy to communicate and get along! The PT and OT departments are first class. This place is exceptionally clean and the food is better than anything I have ever tasted. I highly recommend PCSC for anyone needing rehab or a place for a love one needing full time care.

Everybody was nice at The Clinton Presbyterian Community. The place was a little older, but it was laid out nicely and had all the convenience that you could want and large apartments. The marketing director was very accommodating and took us to see five different places within the community.

I am staying at Presbyterian Home of SC – Clinton, and I was very impressed with it. It's a very nice place, and it's well cared for. The staff is fine, friendly, cooperative and efficient. The rooms are certainly efficient, and they also have patio homes and cottages independent from the building. The food depends on what you can and can't eat, and they offer 3 meals a day.

The one that we thought seemed the most suitable was the Presbyterian Homes. It's a mixture of some people who need assisted care and a lot of independent. If one gets worse and has to be put into a nursing home, they have one there, too. They have a dining room that you can walk to and an exercise room, so everything is contained in the building. They have different rooms and different arrangements. They have from 1-room up to the 2-bedroom apartment. I've eaten there before. The food was good. They seem much more social, and for someone who likes to get out and be among other people, it looked like it would be a better fit. They have areas where people can get together. You can play cards and visit with people if you don't want to sit in the room by yourself. They have a range of activities. They are also in a college town. They have a Presbyterian College there so that there are musicals and plays in the town that they take people to.

I had a family member that was placed in the Presbyterian Home. They were dealing with health issues, which ended up being addressed by the staff there. She was a difficult patient, but the staff there was very caring and patient with her. They ended up dealing with her up until her life ended, and they were a great help to the family. They were conscious of the fact that we were saying our final good-byes, so they gave us privacy and provided us with whatever we needed to comfort us. The staff was knowledgeable and really wonderful. The facility itself was a nice and peaceful environment. It was well decorated and tended to. There was ample parking, and easy to get to.
