I was worried that I was too young, but found Wesley Commons is really active and have so much more than other communities. They keep adding and adding services and they are keeping their prices in a very nice place compared to many expensive CCRs. The help here is great. The Executives and Service employees are very happy and friendly and keep amazing me. We have new restaurants and new gaming areas and a new rehabilitation complex. I love it here and my friends are following! Come up to Greenwood, you will love it! "

"The staff. You have 1 or 2 that truly work. There is not enough staff for the residents. No one is ever available when you need assistance with your parent The help light goes off a while because no one is available to help you. I shouldn't have to keep taking my parent to the bathroom and cleaning them up.. Need more CNA. This is my parent second time here and this time is worse. We only came back because there is one guy that took Excellent care of my parent and we were lucky to have him again. All other CNAS walk around lost and not helpful at all. Some have attitudes like they don't want to be there. Some days they don't even make the bed all day. And my parent don't get bathed til late. Just ridiculous. I will keep saying that they are understaffed. 3 people can't assist 30 or more patients"

"I had been to Magnolia Place of Greenville for my mother. They have excellent activities, computer games for memory care, chair dancing, and card games. The rooms were smaller and adequate, but it was an older facility. The staff was friendly and attentive. All of the people there knew everybody like friends. "

"White Oak Manor - Newberry has 24-hour care and the service is excellent. They have physical therapy. They are topnotch and the management is on top of their game. Everytime I call and I have questions, I get answers. Life became a lot easier for me and my wife. It's institutional food, and somebody stays with my mother to make sure she eats something. They sit with us and make sure that we know everything we need to know about her care. It's an open facility. I can go anytime I want to see her."

"My wife stayed at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Greenville for rehab. The personnel were very well qualified, very polite, and took very good care of whatever your issues were. They were there to take care of you. During discharge day, they gave me all the information we needed regarding the services that they had given to her progress reports and things of that nature. They were they were top-notch. My wife mainly had physical therapy. I did not try the food, but the meals looked very nourishing in proportions. I thought everything they were doing was top-notch. The facility was very neat, very well-designed, and professionally handled. The activities that I saw, were all very well managed."

"My father was a resident in this place when it was Oakmont Manor. The name has changed but from what I understand the standard of care hasn't. My mother was no longer able to provide full time care for my father. She would have died had she kept going at the pace she was going. We finally convinced her this was the best decision because Dad would be in a facility with equipment and staff to provide the 'round the clock care one person alone couldn't do. It was the most agonizing decision any of us ever had to make but we believed it was in my parents best interest. We trusted the facility. We were wrong. Every nightmarish thing I had ever heard about a nursing home was true with this place. If you love someone, don't send them here. If you loathe someone don't send them here. By the way when asked for value, I am not sure how to rate the value of breaking someone's spirit."

"Summer was my dad's wound care miracle! She showed him that changing the wound didn't have to hurt like they had been doing to him in the hospital. He use to dread getting his wound changed but after how well Summer took care of him he looked forward to getting to see her on those days. The administration does listen to the patients and their family. We had a few issues but we were heard out and they are working on improving."

"My mother has moved into Piedmont Post Acute. The main reason we chose it was because she had been there once before. It was under a different name, but it's the same staff and everything, and it's close to her family. She really likes it there. Right now, she's there for rehabilitation to help her walk again after the break of her leg. The staff has been very helpful and very attentive to her. She likes the staff, especially the therapeutic staff that are working with her. She has commented on how good the food is. She was surprised. She does memory testing and things like that. What they're doing with her right now is therapy to help her walk again. They have a salon and a courtyard and a formal dining area, and if her family wanted to come in and fix a meal and have a meal with her, they can. They have quite a few amenities that would be admirable for most places. Right now, her fees are being taken care of by Medicaid and her insurance."
