"We have chosen Heritage Assisted Living for my father-in-law. The staff is super, super friendly, and very informative. The tenants there actually look out for each other. They offer around 10 different food menu items and then they have a specialty every day. They have arts and crafts that go on all the time. The staff, as well as residents there, help out one another, especially the ones that have dementia, and make sure that they get involved, which I thought is great. They also do in-house cognitive therapy, as well as physical therapy. I love walking into it. It makes you feel like you're in a mini town, like a mini-mall strip, which is neat. We love the food and the fact that we can sit down with him and eat. The staff is very informative on things that they're working on with him or activities that they do. They try to include the families. That way, we can all get involved with his care."

"My father required care in the skilled/rehab section of Baptist Village. It is a newer facility that is very clean. I loved how each section or neighborhood was laid out. Each one had its own kitchen with an eat in bar that was open to the dining and living area. The rooms were surrounding the area with the nurses station in the middle. It felt very home like. Every staff member that we came in contact with was very kind, helpful and attentive. The therapists were also very knowledgeable and provided excellent treatment. I was very impressed with this skilled facility and would highly recommend it. "

"My husband and I moved to Baptist Village because it was near our daughter. We had a one bedroom apartment. We had lunch and breakfast on Friday mornings. The food they served was all good. There were a lot of activities like dominoes, rubic's cube, sponsoring church every month, sushi night, bell choir and many more. I liked the price and I would recommend this place to others. "

"What a wonderful concept! We were looking for a place for my mother-in-law who was in a larger assisted living facility and not fairing well. A good friend recommended Eden Care to us. The owner, who is a Registered Nurse, was very accommodating and even gave us our tour on a Saturday to accommodate our schedule! This impressed me right away. Meeting the owner was not an option at the place she was living or any of the other places we visited and very few offered tours on the weekend. We looked at the home in Edmond and Oklahoma City and both were very well done. The decor was upscale, yet very comfortable. There was nothing institutional about the homes. The staff was very hospitable and seemed to pay close attention to the people. There were no bad smells lingering in the air, unlike some of the places we toured. Actually, the whole place smelled like lavender! The owner explained that they have an aroma therapy program and use natural oils in the homes. I will say that the monthly fees were slightly higher than some of the other places we looked. But, we expected that, given the setting. Also, Eden Care's fees included a lot more than most - they even provided depends! The owner explained that their staff to resident ratios are much higher than a typical facility, which allowed them to give each person more personalized care. Because of this and everything they include in their fees, it costs them more to care for each person. It would have been well worth it to us! But, unfortunately, we started looking too late. My mother-in-law went on hospice the following week and passed away before we were able to move her to Eden Care. I wish we would have known about it sooner. It makes me sad thinking about how much better the last few months of her life could have been. "

"We chose Concordia Life Care Community for my mother-in-law because mainly they have a room while other places didn't. She's doing well there and it's working out for her. They've been very attentive and kind, and we have had no problems. For as little as she can do, they do a good job with the activities. I know that what we're paying is on the upper end. It is located fairly close to the hospitals."

"My sister moved in to independent living 4-5 years ago, recently had to leave due to her health and condition beyond independent living. St. Ann's staff and facility was a gift from God for our family. Staff, facility and food was outstanding for us. Staff were part of sister's family and made our situation very sad as we had to leave. Thanks for all the years of great life for my sister."

"The apartment that my sister is getting at The Gardens at Quail Springs is a little more spacious than some of the others that we'd looked at. Also, they had no qualms about her pets. She's got three animals and they were allowing her to keep all of them. They have various levels of assistance, right now, she just needs level one, but should she progress and need more, they have it there. The gentleman was very friendly and informative. He gave us a tour and answered our questions. It could probably be kept a little cleaner, though."

"Epworth Villa was very clean. Everybody was nice and helpful. The food was fantastic. It's just a well-cared-for property. They have libraries and gyms, and they have different outings that they go on and different clubs that meet there. The rooms were spacious and very well kept."

"The thing that drew us to visit and choose Victorian Estates was the size of the facility. Small number of residents, and the Staff was awesome. She was the one who chose this place to live. But my brother and I were with her and was just as blown away the friendliness of everyone. My mother has been there for 2 years now. She is very independent but she loves her room with court yard access. She loves flowers and birds, so my family have helped her to make her gardens her own. Most of all they allowed her to bring her small dog to continue to be her companion. Which all residents and staff have fallen in love with too. She is very happy to be around people again. She has been able to get to know the residents because of the size. They are now offering some choices for meals which has excited her to go to the dining room more often. They are working hard to improve the meals and the taste of the food for their residents. Which I am very happy they are doing. My mom loved to cook and used a lot of herbs and different spices to enhance the foods she cooked. Oh I can not say enough GREAT things about the staff. They are amazing!!! They are friendly and very helpful for me, my family and especially for her. You can not find a better place in Yukon for your parent/parents. Come join the family at Victorian Estates"

I have lived here for five years now, and I can tell you without any trouble at all that it is the best decision my children ever made for me.I took the tour and the beautiful swimming pool was my favorite thing. My apartment is right by it. It is heated and enclosed in glass. The sparkling beauty of it only partly upstages the gorgeous plants and flowers inside that flourish all year round. In the summer, the glass doors on the ceiling roll back and the beauty of a summer day engulfs its beauty. It is my Garden of Eden. But that isn't all. There are state-of-the-art exercise rooms, exercise equipment, a sewing room, a library, rooms for exercise workouts, billiard tables, coffee lounging areas, and CD library with all movies to check out. There are art classes for the creative mind, and on and on. The beautiful Central Park for chatting in front of the fire pit with its beautiful fountains just sparkles in the day and into the night.. The campus is just spectacular with all the beauty of flowers and hedges, and statues. But even more compelling is the staff and residents. The staff spends hours planning and putting into place marvelous trips for our entertainment and sometimes for our learning current events so that our minds stay sharp and aware. We travel in a gorgeous brand new coach with all the extras that make travel fun. And the people are the dearest on Earth. They absorb your sorrows as well as your joys and they help make the journey into the last season of your heart, better than all the other seasons put together. Getting to decorate your new apartment is the most fun.....I even got to bring my two cats and decorate the apartment with cat trees, etc. any way I chose. Some say my apartment looks like a little girl ten years old lives there; that's okay....I will always be ten so they are nice to me and just accept it. I have made some of the dearest friends I have ever had while living here. I wish I could explain adequately how the staff just unbelievably goes the second--and third mile--for US. If you are looking, look no further. This is THE place to be. Needless to say I love it here......... YOU will, too. "

"My friend and her husband are staying at Quail Ridge Assisted Living. They have little plant centers all around the facility where you feel at home. I like the idea that they have indoor parking. They have little patios. The one I was impressed with was an apartment with two beds, two bathrooms, and a kitchen. The living room is just an open area. They have one great big room you can reserve for your family during the holidays. The food was always good. My friend's husband was in a wheelchair. The room was big enough to accommodate a wheelchair. They were able to help him with his personal ADL. They make good drinks. They have outings and everything else. They have a beauty shop, a library, and a computer center."
