"My father is in Ridgeway On 23rd now, and things are working out quite well for us. The place is positive and beautiful, the staff is wonderful, and the meals are awesome. It's a good placement for him at this time. We had dinner with him on his birthday, and the food was delicious. They do the best they can in terms of activities, but there's a staffing shortage now in every one of these facilities. They play cards, they take them on outings, they do bingo, and arts and crafts, and they have exercise. There's a chapel where different churches come in, they have different pastors come in, they have a barber shop and a beauty salon. He's got a very nice room, it's clean, well-maintained, and we're happy where he is."

"Ridgeway on German is very nice and excellent. The staff member who helped me was very good and excellent. They usually have entertainment and stuff to do in the afternoon for the residents. As you walk in, the place is very airy and you don't feel closed-in. It has a grand staircase, so it's kind of a cool entrance. The food is very good."

"Countryside is an asset to the Sleepy Eye and wider community. It provides up-to-date housing for seniors and available activities for residents. Noon dinners are provided by a licensed dietician and there is a lovely dining and community living area. Also a nice backyard with garden plots are available. Outside summertime gatherings are available. A chapel is available for group and individual worship. This is a 2-floor facility that incorporates elevators, but nevertheless, being on the 2nd floor may not be desirable for everyone. Various size apartments are also available. I find the staff very helpful,cooperative and friendly. "

"My husband is at The Beacon at Lake Crystal. We chose it for him because it has memory care, and he has dementia. They took very good care of him. It took a while, but they got him settled in. They are all so great with him. They've been losing a lot of aides lately, but it's a very nice and clean place. It also has a good cook. His living space is just one room. It does have a bathroom in it with a stool and a sink. It also has a closet. They have cable for TV, or you can connect to their internet. It's roomy, too. There have been times that I've gone there and it's kind of messy, but it's not really dirty. They washed his clothes, but they didn't put them away. They just stacked them on his chair or something. A lot of the aides are student aides, so they're still learning, too. They're all pretty good girls, but they didn't try to connect with people. They were just there to do a job, and that was it. It's getting a little spendy now with us doing hospice and then bumping him up to a level 9. The caretaking part is expensive, but the rental is reasonable. They have an activities person who comes in Monday through Friday. She gets them to play games, and she does bingo twice a week. They do chair exercises at least once a month, too, so she keeps them busy. On nice days, they'll take a bunch of the residents outside just for a little walk around to get some fresh air. They have a TV area as well, where people can sit and watch something, although most people also have TVs in their rooms. She takes them out sometimes for outings. They go out for lunch, and we give her enough money depending on what they spend. Some rooms have a tub and a shower in the bathrooms. There are shared rooms in some areas but they each have their own bedroom with the dining room area and kitchen in the center with a TV. I've eaten there a couple of times. He gets a pretty good variety because they make sure they get meat, potatoes, and a vegetable. They had good care overall."

"We went to look at Crystal Seasons Assisted Living. It ended up being a very good visit. We looked at physical therapy and all of those kinds of things. It was an excellent facility. They have lots of different things to do. We met with an activities director, facilities director, and one of the service people to see how we could accommodate the room should we need to. All the way around, it was very helpful."

"Oak Terrace is in very good shape, fairly new, very welcoming ,and open. The staff that assisted me was very informative. The dining area was very clean. "

"Vista Prairie at Monarch Meadows is a very nice place amongst those we've visited. There's some difficulty in contacting the business office there, I've called twice now to talk to the manager and she still hasn't gotten back to me for more than a week now. The two rooms that I viewed were under some kind of maintenance. The people that were there seemed very nice, they answered my questions. It was nice all the way around, including the furniture, it was a spacious and beautiful place."

"My mother is a resident at this facility. She loves it here! She has a very spacious, well designed apartment. She has a nice deck off her apartment so she can enjoy the nice weather. The food is above average and served warm. The residents and staff are friendly and accomidating. My mother is very happy with the level of activities here. There are also many attractive outside spaces for her to enjoy. They also provide transportation if needed for my mother without any additional fees. We could not be more pleased with this living arrangement for my mother. "

"Vista ridge is a lovely facility and I had a great experience visiting there. The staff and residents were very welcoming and friendly. Several different staff members greeted us and checked that we had all our questions answered. The residents greeted us as well and had positive things to share with us about their personal experiences of living in the facility. I also had the opportunity to have a discussion with family members of a current resident. They also had positive things to say about the staff and accommodations of the facility. The building has a great location next to a river in a small town. There is a gorgeous chapel built in the facility with many services offered during the week. There are regular activities that are offered to the residents, including cards, board games, bingo, etc. A unique feature of the facility is that there is a child care center as well. Although there is quite a separate entity between the two, there are activities where the residents and children are able to interact with each other-great experiences for both the kids and residents. "

"Parie Veiw Assisted Living facility, is a great place for the elderly to live. It offers assitance, much like that of one living in a home. Not a nursing home, in parie veiw, people are aloud to have pets, up to 20 pounds. Participate in outdoor activities. And participate in local activities. The finacal part of this facility is flexiable, with people of all different incomes. There are many types of rooms, all handicap acessable. They come with basic living structure, like a kitchen, restroom, livingroom, bed room. Also the facility has a recreational room where they can do a varity of activites. The also provide a a large kitchen, for the residents to use in order to hold family dinners. "

"I visited Benedictine Living Community of St. Peter. It was nice and clean. They were friendly. The location was a little bit out of the way. I didn’t get a chance to see the rooms, but from what I saw, I liked it. "
