When my wife and I moved at caring hearts assisted care home with nothing but the clothes on our backs, the owner who is also the caregiver went above and beyond to help us get settled. She bought us clothes, socks, and toiletries until we were able to get our own, making her a true blessing during a very difficult time. We never went without food, and she was incredibly patient, providing us with five delicious snacks every day. The meals were consistently amazing and filling, chicken, shrimp, pork chops, salmon, garlic mashed potatoes, meat, and vegetables. Our absolute favorite, and most what we requested was her grilled cheese sandwich it was honestly the best we have ever had. The only exception was brussel sprouts, after voicing my dislike they thankfully never made a repeat appearance ha ha ha. She made sure our favorite snacks were on the shopping list cantaloupe, watermelon, grapes, cheese and crackers, and ice cream. We became accustomed to getting spoiled. At bedtime, we enjoyed having chips and Coke and before we could ask there she was with our snacks on a tray. Boy were we spoiled. Beyond food, she genuinely cared for us. She would sit at the kitchen table, listen to my stories and laugh at my dumb jokes, and made us feel like family. The home is spotless, laundry was done weekly, and she even celebrated our birthdays with presents. I give this home a 10+ out of 10. I’m very selective, and this home exceeded every expectation. You truly can’t go wrong there. In the end, we had to move with our son in Colorado, but for the almost two years we were there, we miss this place dearly. It’s rare to find such genuine care. We must have done something right in our life to have found this nice lady.

I stayed in a home called Caring Hearts Assisted Care Home in Phoenix last year. The lady owner there gets so upset if anybody is late, and I could only have visitors from 10 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. You have to have an appointment and be there right at four o'clock, or you can't come. I also couldn't have any visitors on the weekend, and that's usually when people are free. She was so strict on the physical therapist coming in. She said if they were half an hour late, they couldn't come even if they got caught in traffic. I think the visiting hours are so restricted that not everybody can visit during those hours. I always had to have an appointment, too, even if my cousin was just going to drop off something. The home only had two bedrooms, and the owner was very skimpy in the food that I ordered protein bars. I had to eat protein bars because she didn't give me enough food. I also didn't have all my meds when I moved in, and she wanted all of them. I understand that they need that, but when I came from rehab, I didn't know, so it took a while to get the whole list corrected. The lady was scolding me until we got it fixed, while I was doing the best I could. I know she was under pressure because she had to have it there for my stay, or she would get in trouble, but it wasn't my fault. She was very controlling, and I would have liked a little more flexibility. She was super clean, though. She sprayed the floor and mopped up after anybody who walked in because she thought they could have brought in stuff from the outside, and that was a plus on her part. She's also very accurate with the medications, and it's important that she doesn't mess up anything. The only thing is that, although the food was okay, she was skimpy with it. I could have had a little bit more to eat, but she has very small portions. For example, for breakfast, I had half a bagel with peanut butter and bananas on top, and a cup of coffee. While that was very good, I could have eaten a whole bagel. I think the place could accommodate up to 4 residents, and they could have two people in each room. I was in a private room at the time of my stay, and the other guy resident there was also in a private room. The lady owner I was talking about was the only one there, and she could cook very well. She could be pleasant, but if she was unhappy, she would scold you, and that's hard when you're sick.
