Universal Health and Hospice has been a Godsend to our family. For the past 5+ years their staff have provided various level of care for our aging parents. They provided wonderful and professional Home / Health Care for both parents allowing them to stay together in an independent senior property until my Dad died 2 years ago after a long battle with Alzheimers. When my Mom broke her hip they provided 24 hour care for my Dad until we could make other arrangements. After our Mom returned from ReHab there was some one at their apartment every day to help them both bathe and dress for the day. Their caregiver was not only extremely professional but, caring and loved by our parents. When our 83 year old Mom was diagnoised with stage 4 cancer Kathy and the Universal Staff were there for us. For the past 2 years they have provided the necessary care my mother required and needed. Again, allowing her to remain in her home. Three days ago, the Doctor told us it was time for full time hospice care. There was no question where she would spend her final days but, Universal Hospice. She was welcomed with loving arms and smiles buy their onsite staff. From the moment you walk through the door you know Universal Hospice is the best choice you could have made for your loved ones respite or hospice stay. They have taken great care to make sure the rooms feel like home with their hand made quilts and comfortable furnishings. The children's play room has become a favorite of my grandchildren while visiting their great grandmother. There are living areas close to the rooms allowing the family some space when needed. The facility is light, bright and cheerfully decorated. You feel you are a guest in a boutique hotel rather than a nursing facility. We are now taking each day at a time. Not knowing how long this final journey for our Mom will take. It will not be easy but, know that thanks to our extended family at Universal Health and Hospice that we won't be alone.

I can't imagine a more luxurious, well-staffed, caring environment. The facility is gorgeous, and has no "smell". .the staff is attentive, and caring. The food is . .um. . so-so . .but ..most of their patients probably aren't in good enough shape to notice. It's decent enough - not carelessly prepared. Some volunteers to add a little SOMETHING to the plates would be nice - a flower or favor. All the staff goes to great lengths to care for the patients AND help the family.
