Some of them either do not want to do anything or I find it very difficult to get what I need taken care of. I have had some good aides and I have had some bad ones, I think that happens so it depends on the aides. I think a lot of the aides, or some of the aides, come and they are not prepared and I have to train them to make them ready to help me.

Make sure they are strong enough to lift her and that they are on time. I like that they are able to provide caregivers that are qualified to help her when I'm gone.

They could pick up more and make sure that the apartment is as clean as it could be. One of my aides will go and look for more to do with the time that she has, and my other caregiver needs to do that also. The other caregiver will just sit down and do nothing unless I ask her.

I couldn't do it without the agency because they help with the things I can't do. The agency is convenient and flexible. If I have an appointment, the agency is flexible in adjusting their hours, and sometimes I can adjust my hours to work with them.

The caring, dependable, respectful, wonderful caregivers of Right at Home Sylvania allowed her to do just that. The owner Trina or one of her staff were available by phone day or night. I'll be forever grateful to the people of Right at Home Sylvania. They were a godsend.

Trina and the Right at Home staff are the gold standard. Our mom has mobility issues, and needs help with meals, dressing, and household chores, but most importantly she needs a friendly face and companionship. We started using caregivers 5 years ago and have tried 3 other companies, so I speak from experience when I say Right at Home is the best of the best. They helped us through some rough spots when we needed to fill last minute shifts. They placed caregivers with us that are the perfect fit. It was such a relief to find a company that really cares about us as people, and makes the extra effort to send us the same caregiver every time. Our mom just loves her caregiver, and they have become fast friends. If you do ever have a question they are lighting fast at getting back to you. Trina really has a knack for staffing as well. We've found her caregivers to be a much higher caliber than the other company we were using.

Right at Home currently cares for my father. He is having a terrible time with dementia and we were not sure how to proceed with it. We talked about putting him in a home but wanted to go over all of our options. I called Trina and she came right out for an assessment. We talked for about 2 hours and at that time I knew I was keeping my dad home. The best part of this service is seeing how the caregiver interact with my father and keeps him motivated with cognitive therapy. My family has learned so much since we have started with Right at Home. It is a great feeling knowing that I can go to work and not have to worry about whether or not my dad has taken his pills or eaten his meals. I see happiness on his face now that he has company as well. I highly recommend Right at Home Sylvania to anyone who is looking for senior care.

My mother is a very independent woman and her illness has left her with an inability to care for herself properly. My siblings do not live in Ohio and we met to discuss the options and had initially decided to place her in a nursing facility. When speaking with our mother, it was clear that she wanted to remain in her home. My siblings who rarely see her outvoted us to keep her in her own home until we came across Trina and Right at Home, Sylvania. She came to our home, met our mother and answered all of our questions with care and compassion. She never pushed us to sign with her company and truly only cared about how my mother felt and made her feel as if she had a voice in the situation. She brought many different caregivers to meet my mother and to see who might be the best match with her personality. They all were kind and gracious. After meeting with her staff, my siblings and I decided to give it a try and if we needed to, revisit a nursing facility. So far so good! My mother celebrated her 90th birthday and her morning caregiver brought her a cake and balloons. To see my mother remain independent and engaged is an amazing gift. Thank you to Right at Home and to Trina and her staff.
