    I have a caregiver to help with just general cleaning right now..The caregiver is always here on designated day and always on time…. We have a very good communication so she knows exactly what to to do… the agency is very good to meet my needs… I would recommend the agency

    I could not recommend Lavender Home Care to anyone. I have been a client for several years. I have one aide that I depend on but she has a flexible schedule and every time I call Lavender to check on the schedule, they chastise me for having to make changes. They say this is unusual and I should not be doing it as it is inconvenient for them. I have had several aides from Lavender that I had to call and cancel immediately as they were unsuitable to have in my home. One was 7 months pregnant and said she couldn't help me as she couldn't bend over. One was paranoid of ethnic groups and said she has seen them sacrificing goats in their back yards. A third broke two pieces of furniture in my house and I had to call a family member for help to get her out of my home. Today I tried to talk to a manager and she accused me of complaining and told me I was free to go somewhere else. I asked why she would threaten me when I was simply checking on the weekly schedule. She said I was rude and she didn't like talking to me. I would say this was distinctly the other way around. However, I tried to apologize and wish her a good day to smooth things over and she hung up on me. Not a half hour later, the owner called me and said they no longer accept my insurance and I have 30 days to find another provider. Coincidence? I think not... Beware of Lavender Home Health Care. They do not provide customer service, they cannot handle scheduling and they lie when talking to you. I am so sorry to say that, but that has been my experience. I generally get along with most everyone, but not this company. Sorry.

    In working with Lavender Home Care and their staff, I was able to experience attention to my parents needs that I had not experienced before with any other agency. Living out of state, I feel like i'm involved and connected through them and mom and dad are the happiest they have been!

    This Home Care business is not suited or recommended for elderly persons who are 100% bedridden, who may become dependent on aides for everything later; such as not being equipped to handle or follow through on basic instructions on care given to them by family members for their loved ones who have had strokes, are in dementia, or who are in declining health. These aides sometimes need constant follow up by family members to make sure they are following care instructions given by Lavender and family. Families who are interested in acquiring one of these aides for the long haul need to get constant assurance upfront with the owner and/or staff that they can handle all of the loved ones needs that are addressed on the initial pre-assessment paperwork before beginning care with them, to avert any false misconceptions or ongoing problems between the client and this organization of what they can or can't handle truthfully on a long term basis for a client as time goes on. When the time comes that they feel they can no longer take care of a client's needs, they need to let a client know well in advance of time. That promotes good business relations with the client, client's family, and the community it serves.
