It's allowed me to be more independent, not having to go over there as much because they are with someone I trust. In the beginning, the very first caregiver didn't show up. The second person only sat on their phone the whole time. It took 3 to 4 people to find one we liked.

She comes in and gives me my infusion. She is very good at it, and she knows how to do it, no problem I like that they send me the same nurse every time, and I really like her.

Sam doesn't need much, we just need somebody there in case he falls. They keep him company, and supervise when he walks around the house. I like that if anybody is late they would let me know or the caregivers will tell me themselves.

I don't have to get out and go to the infusion lab. They can not try to change my nurses when I got one that I am happy with. I had to call them to get my nurse back.

They would talk to him and hang out playing cards or going on walks, so that he wasn't alone. They were efficient, organized, and good at communicating, so I'd recommend them.

Some of the caregivers played games with him, and kept him busy and alert which was good. I did have assurance that they would safely shower him which is very important. We had issues with the aides being on the cellphone and so we gave up and finally terminated them. The owner came out to our house the very first time to explain everything, and I could email her at any time which was nice to always have available.

It gives us more of a piece of mind and makes all of us feel better that a nurse is checking on him. Recently it has enabled my mother to leave the house while the nurse is there. They do a good job of communicating with me, answering my calls and getting back to me. It's a little tricky with us because the care is for my father, but he can't talk. They do a good job communicating with all of us.

They teach him to self-infuse and to care for himself. If he has an incident they inform and educate him on what to do. They need more consistency in the nurses. We've been with BrightStar for several years and have gone through quite a few nurses and our last company we had the same nurse for over a decade.

The main nurse that took care of me originally was wonderful! She went on maternity leave unfortunately. The new nurse is doing fine. Overall, they have been pretty responsive on what I've needed.

They work around my schedule very well. If there are any kind of doctor's appointments coming up that require changing times or days, we are able to reschedule without any kind of conflict. They anticipate her needs, they make sure she has what she needs, and they are very caring. They will give her a hug and they will make sure that she has what she needs before they leave. The quality of care has been consistent, and the caregivers that come and stay with my mom have been very good.

There are some caregivers that don't show up at the scheduled times. There were a couple of hiccups. When the caregiver comes, they set off the alarm every time.

The provider helped me the most by giving my sister a break from my mom, and she really needed that relief. They provided an extra pair of eyes for my mom. They informed us about new developments about my mom's health. We used two personal care assistants, and they were both excellent. I especially liked one of them and the people in the office because they were accessible. We appreciated these two people who took care of my mother directly.

I think that they need to do their scheduling better, and keep us up to date on what is happening. The caregivers are very good, but I think administratively they need to have some improvements. They give me the ability to go and do the things that I need to do.

I would've been more likely to recommend BrightStar Care if they had been more helpful. The office staff is great, but the caregivers were not. They ruined a couple pieces of my furniture and were always falling asleep. The services from BrightStar Care were not very helpful because the caregivers were too busy with their cellphones to do that much for me. When they were chastised for staying on their phones too much, they would just take their phones into the bathroom and stay in there.

The way the scheduling is going is holding me back. BrightStar Care keeps sending people that are afraid of dogs. I told them that I had a dog. I have a new person every time. The services are impactful, but when there is a new person, I have to supervise them to make sure that they are a good fit and not hurting my child. Doing that means I can't do my job. When there is a good person, I can do my job.

I feel very comfortable the way BrightStar Care approaches my father. They are well trained to deal with seniors who have dementia or Alzheimer's. I trust the caregiver that comes to my house from BrightStar Care and feel 100% comfortable with them.
