We hired Interim HealthCare of Grand Rapids for my husband. I am very happy with the people that they sent. They try to get people that will come on a regular schedule, and that is helpful. I am happy. They help him with bathing and dressing, sometimes they fix him a simple meal. They stay with him if I need to go to the store. I have no problems with their billing. They send me their billing, then take it out of my account.

Our regular healthcare aid gave a months notice to cover my incapacitated sister while she went on a 2 week vacation. I had 2 no shows, switched workers after I left for a drs appt without informing me before leaving home. I've had to reschule drs appt because healthcare worker didn't make it to my home in time for me to go to drs appt even after giving 2 weeks notice to make sure there would be one there at the requested time. Some of the substitute for regulars caregivers are late shows. The subs usually don't work their entire shifts that they are scheduled. In 2 weeks my schedule has changed 3 times. Pj

I have a girl from Interim that comes one day a week for three hours and takes care of me. She helps vacuum and clean my apartment. She does a lot to take care of my dog as well and takes her for walks because I can't get out anymore. She's almost like my daughter. I have no complaints at all about Interim's services. Someone from the offices comes out a couple of times a year and talks to me. They always ask me if I need anything or need extra care, to be sure to let them know. I'm pleased with Interim!

Interim was very flexible - working around frequent changes we requested due to family or private hires handling time at our dad’s home. We used caregivers mostly overnight, 9 pm to 9 am. They would be at the ready if our dad had to get up in the night just to stand near him. Dad really enjoyed the staff, being treated with utmost care and having someone to talk to. Rarely a worker would be a no show or a cancelled shift would not hear about the change and arrive at the home. If anything could be added it might be a check in System- the worker starting a shift to the dispatch person, along with a handful of subs always on call as backup. I’m sure these would not be easy things to implement. Possibly follow up replies should be required from workers when a shift is cancelled, letting Interim know they got the message. Most workers seemed well trained in how to redirect our dad when he would attempt to take the conversation into inappropriate areas. Those techniques can never be stressed enough. On rare occasions a worker would voice a negative response to one of us or my dad at having her hours cancelled or her shift eliminated due to a permanent private hire taking over at less cost to us. Another thing to really stress with caregivers as something not to do. One other thing that only happened rarely was caregivers sharing their hardships or family drama with the our dad- who could potentially hand out extra “side pay” in sympathy. We aren’t sure if this ever happened but, again, it could potentially in many cases with dementia clients. Overall we were very pleased.

My helper has been with me for 4 hours a week for 3 years. She is very caring and knows how my apartment should be cleaned. She also takes me to the grocery store once a month and helps me shop wisely. She checks to see all my needs are met. Thank you.

Interim Health Care has been taking care of my Father, in our home, for a little over a year. I cannot express my appreciation and gratitude enough for the 2 caregivers that come daily, the office staff, the nursing staff, and the physical therapy staff. The daily care is above and beyond. The physical therapist is one of the kindest people I have ever met. All of these ladies have given my Dad the best care possible. Their care has enabled my Dad to stay at home instead of a nursing facility. Thank you Interim for all you do!

Our primary help, Hannah, is able to anticipate the needs before we even know there is a need. Her respect and compassion speaks volumes to the care she provides. Hannah has guided us through her knowledge to provide greater care for our mom. She is a shining star!

I have been with Interim for almost 3 years. I have never been disappointed in my services. My caregiver has been very caring and genuinely gives me the best care she can. She is always on time and gets the job done. I enjoy the time she is here and doing activities with her. She is like a member of our family.

Interim has been providing my mother help since she fell a few weeks ago. The staff arrive on time (or early) and are doing a fantastic job attending to her needs. They are kind, compassionate, and take an interest in her interests. We were afraid we were going to lose mom right after the fall, but the help that the Interim aides have provided have gotten her to a much better place. They leave detailed notes as to how much she ate, what her energy level was, and any other issues that may need our attention. The two main aides that have been helping mom are AMAZING!!!! We will be eternally grateful to them, and to Interim. Interim has been quick and responsive to add days or adjust our schedule, even at the last minute, smoothly and flawlessly. I would highly recommend Interim to anyone who needs help with a family member that is in need of care for whatever medical issues they face.
