Mom was a past resident of Oak Creek Place. The dining room, the apartments, and the common areas were beautiful. It had a nice patio that was accessible to all residents directly off the dining room. It was a secure facility. They had a beautiful balance of activity and the activities coordinator was very good. They made a concerted effort to get residents involved. The staff was wonderful, responsive, and caring. They take care of all the needs of the residents all of the time.

I visited Oak Creek Place. First, I was greeted by the woman in charge. Her name was Alison, and she was very friendly. She gave me a lot of information. We did take a tour of the facility. The thing that I liked about it was there were a lot of men that lived there. I'm looking for a place for a man (my cousin). He would have people to speak with and visit with. As a matter of fact, the place had several veterans. He has a collection of military things, so it would be an interesting conversation. I was very pleased with it. The activities were wonderful. There were a lot of daily activities. The menu was good. I could see that he would get very good meals. There was a nice outdoor space. He has a small dog, and there was a place for him to walk the dog. The apartment itself was a 1-bedroom apartment. The kitchen was very nice. The bedroom and the bathroom were very nice. I was a little concerned about the size of the living room, only because he is a collector and needs storage space. I'm not sure about that, but I liked the fact that I was told that he could stay there for the rest of his life; that's important. People don't like to move and move and move. If something happened tomorrow, I would not hesitate to go there. I would recommend people to live there.

We went to visit Oak Creek Place and everything was satisfactory. The staff was very accommodating. We took a good tour through just about everything. She showed me several other rooms and showed me what was going on. I saw that it was clean, and they seemed to be keeping it up. They were painting in one room. They were moving another woman in that day, and everything seemed to be going quite well. She was very friendly and personable, I really think it was a very nice tour. I couldn't say anything wrong about it. It was really very nice and very accommodating. Some of the ladies were in the theater watching a movie. Several people were still in the lunch area, and I saw how other people were congregating in various places. Some people were in the hallways, talking and so on and so forth. The staff showed us where the menus were stacked up, so that you could see what was being served for the day and make your selections, et cetera. It was convenient.

I'm leaning toward the one that's a little closer to Chicago, which is Oak Creek Place. Plus, it's a much, much different type of atmosphere than the other one. It is a smaller place, and it's on the ground level, so you don't have to worry about elevators and stuff. The community is very nice. The facilities are very homey and very warm, and the rooms are great. The people I met were great. They're very informative, and I appreciate all the help they gave me. The apartments were clean, neat, and well-lit, and they have windows with a view. It's just a nice place. The community areas are great. They got a theater, and they got quite a few other amenities that are too many to mention. It was kind of rainy yesterday, but most of the outdoor spaces were very open. It was like a park atmosphere, so it was pretty cool.

We went to Oak Creek Place. It was good, but we only saw it from the outside, looking through a window. They didn't take us in. The rooms were pretty big, they had a common area, and the dining room was more like a restaurant. They had a bunch of outings and stuff, but that's all on hold because of the situation. They had a back patio and a putting green. The director was very nice and professional.

My mother is in Oak Creek Place. The staff has been very helpful and understanding. The food I've eaten there was good. The overall care has been what I would consider to be relatively good in that my mom has incontinence and sometimes they don't get to her soon enough, but for the most part they have been very helpful and patient with her. They have all kinds of activities and a theater. They constantly play games and have family nights and Fridays they have music. The residents are happy. Overall, it's a nice facility.

Oak Creek Place was small with only 64 residents. It had a huge dining room, a theater, and programs every day of the week. It's neat outside and there's a porch behind it. The person that assisted me was very thorough, answered every question, and offered information that will be helpful regarding financing and medication. I tried the food and it was excellent.

I'm moving to Oak Creek Place. I had a home not far from there for 52 years, so I'm very familiar with the area. I also like the fact that everything is on one level. They certainly have more activities. It always seemed that they were doing something. It's very modern, not too big, and it has very nice features. It has a movie theater, a computer room, and a gym. The meals were very good. I'm very anxious to move in.

Oak Creek Place was a nice little place. The setup was nice. They kind of had it sectioned off into four different sections, four little dining rooms, like in quarters, so that the people didn't have to go throughout the whole place like to get from their room to the dining room, and I thought that was a good idea.

Lucille been in here for a long time now. I visit her at least once a month. She's only about 3 miles from my house. Her son lives just across the street from me, so it's very handy for him and it's handy for everybody. I would recommend it 100%. It's a beautiful dining room. They have linens. I have a terrible time visiting her because she's so busy all the time. You should see the beautiful theater they have. They have very, very comfortable seats and there is something going on there every time. I can go and visit with her anytime I want, and it's $5 a meal. All I have to do is call ahead and say I'm going to be there. It's a lovely, lovely place and Lucille's room looks right out onto a wooded area. She sees deer. She sees raccoons. I keep telling her one of these days I'm going to move in with her. Just a lot going on and it's really a beautiful place. It seems like people are very happy there. Anybody that I had interacted with really like the place. She was very, very fortunate to find this place.
