"We placed dad at Sylvan Crossings at Creekside Estates. He's been there since September, and he's very satisfied. It's an older building, but still very well maintained, clean, and nice. The staff is very helpful and attentive. They do a good job. He said the food is really good. Previously, they had outings and things, but they didn't have anything since the lockdown."

"I was able to visit Harbour Village. I was very impressed. The people were also very helpful. When I walked in, everything was clean. The people made me feel comfortable. It's a place I would be happy to have my mother stay. They had amenities there that made me feel comfortable. If she was walking alone by herself in the hallways and if she fell or something, they had a life alert. "

"My mom has moved into Brenwood Park and she is all set there. We chose this because they had an opening and it is close to my house and my other siblings. They also do a lot of activities and that is what my mom wanted. Their staff so far is really good. They have been very helpful and very nice to my mom. They spend time to answer questions if we have any. "

"Howard Village Senior Living is pretty much what I am looking for. However, I wanted a better exercise room, and they only have a few little things: a bike, but not a full gym. The staff was very welcoming, very friendly, and very thorough. The building was excellent. It was very clean, very neat, very bright, and had a welcoming environment."

"We toured Villa St. Francis Assisted Living. They were very organized, and someone was waiting for us to give us the tour. She went through everything. She gave us a brochure listing the services and cost. The room wasn't big, but it was nice. It had a small refrigerator and a big closet. The bathroom size was good. It was a very clean place. They have a beauty salon, a church, and a chapel, which is nice."

"I know a friend who lives at Layton Terrace Senior Living. It's clean, and they have nursing staff 24/7 if needed. They have card games. There's so much going on there all the time. I've been visiting regularly. The staff is very attentive. It's very well maintained. They have worship service onsite and supervised exercise classes. Whatever they're charging the people, it's worth it."

"Hart Park Square Senior Living had no openings. My daughter had a friend who was living there, an older lady who was 90, and she had a nice apartment. That's the only one I got to see because the rest of them were all full. The apartment was very nice, and I thought the price was reasonable, but there are only three apartments in the building. The place seemed very nice, but there was no opening. The staff who assisted us was good. It seemed like they had quite a bit of activities because she had talked about it. What I liked about them was they had a Pick 'n Save. A truck comes in every day, and you can go out to the truck and buy groceries, so I thought that was kind of nice. The building itself was very nice."

"We went to visit Abundant Life Manor assisted living facility while in the area, searching for a place for our aunt to live. They graciously allowed us to take a tour, despite the fact that we did not have an appointment. We could immediately see that the staff was caring and kind and the residents well tended. The outside area was very nicely maintained. The foyer was fresh, bright and nicely appointed. The grounds also offer easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around freely safely each day. There was also plenty of space to have parties and picnics. The facility can accommodate all levels of ambulation. Communal activity rooms were spacious with comfortable furnishings. Seniors can easily socialize, play games, read, watch TV and take part in many stimulating activities. Private living spaces rooms were spacious in nicely decorated surroundings. Each had a great deal of natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture. All of the indoor rooms had plenty of light and fresh air and all were beautifully decorated and furnished. The building colors were soothing and comfortable. The dining rooms were nice, with plenty of space. The foods looked and smelled appetizing. The menus options were plentiful and designed for diet types. They also offered healthy snacks during the day and made them available anytime requested. The exercise room had nice machines that seniors can use supervised, if they desire. They also offered daily and nature walks as an option. Aerobics and yoga classes are offered and encouraged. The residents also go on many trips to visit Milwaukee's art galleries and museums. They also regularly eat at casual and fine restaurants as well as other interesting events around town. This facility is very nicely maintained with kind and caring staff that take very good care of all of the residents. "

"Home Harbor Racine was one of the better facilities we visited, but the rooms were so small. They had great amenities. I liked everything about it except for the size of the rooms. I would have to get a 2-bedroom in order to get all my furniture in. Sue, the director, tries to help you with everything. It's another facility where when you move in, you don't have to leave. However, they only allow one cat, and I couldn't decide which one of my two cats to get rid of. They have a white elephant sale where you bring stuff out and other people take as much as they want. They have a craft room, a beautician, a healthcare person that comes in, exercise programs, and they have field trips every week to Wal-Mart or the Elmwood Plaza. I loved Sue because she was so informative and she wanted to help me out as much as possible. She gave me the name of the VA representative for funding. She gave me a packet of stuff and she even broke down how much I would pay with or without the funding."
