AVOID. My elderly father was taken to Ridgewood for rehab after surgery. He had a severe infection which had to be treated with a specific medication. Both his medication and infection were not addressed, his bandage for a recent pacemaker surgery was not changed and he was give wrong pain meds that made him sick (staff had been specifically instructed NOT to give him that medication). In addition his TV was not working, he could not regulate the room temp and the overall attitude of this facility was unfriendly. We moved him to a better place immediately after visiting him. His medication issues could have been life threatening and we were appalled at the quality of care. AVOID

We tried to get my mom into Ridgewood Care Center, but the facility where she is now wouldn't budge. The staff was fantastic. The food was good -- everything was good. She was comfortable there. They were very helpful and courteous. They answered every question I had about my mom, and they took care of her very well. The rooms were nice. They had their own TV and stuff. Nice dining room, and they had birds in the sitting room; it was a gorgeous place. When I did go down there, they had events, and they were out in the dining area. They were playing music, and they brought people in. It was clean and nice, they were very good with my mother, and the staff was very nice. In general, everything was nice.
