My experience with Colonial Manor was a poor one. My mother was a resident there for about 5 months or so. The receptionist was rarely able to answer any questions when she was there to answer the phones. Calls to the nurses stations frequently went unanswered and when they did answer, they were usually reluctant to give information. My mother would be left in bed for hours at a time and her calls for assistance were ignored at times. There was one particularly disturbing incident in which my sister went to pick my mother up after my mom had returned to the facility from an appointment and my mom's wheelchair was missing. When my sister inquired about it, the staff claimed to have no knowledge of its whereabouts. As my sister was leaving, she noticed a patient in the lobby sitting in my mother's chair. One of the care providers had entered my mom's room while she was gone and took her chair and gave it to another patient. The caretakers were often rude and would say things like "I'm not going to keep coming in here to help you!"
