The Finest Care Adult Family Home was a grouping of six homes in one area. They close the gate at night. The gentleman who is overseeing the whole operation lives in one house, and the other houses are nearby. When we walked up, we didn't know exactly what house to go to until we met one of the aides there who was a maintenance-type worker. He put us in touch with him, and then that gentleman took us over and gave us a tour of one of the houses. They have six people to a home, and they had two caregivers there 24/7. When you walk in, they had a lobby area, a kitchen area, and a small dining area. They showed us one of the individual rooms and indicated the other ones that were there. They explained how they had their three meals a day set up in the dining room, or you could have them taken to your room if you didn't want to go to the dining room. They didn't have a bathroom in each room. They had two or three bathrooms in the house altogether. They had quite an outdoor area among the houses where people could walk. It was a pleasant area. We mostly spoke with the manager, and we did see the staff that was working in the kitchen at the time, but we really didn't interact with any other staff while we were there. The manager was very helpful and was showing us everything that they had and explaining what the situation would be like. We didn't sample any food. It was very clean. If you walked in the lobby, they had two or three recliners there, and there were a couple of gentlemen sitting in a couple of the recliners. There was interaction going on among the residents who were there, the manager, and the lady in the kitchen.
