My daughter and I visited this facility to see about having my husband be and her father stay there for rehabilitation after a hospital stay. Do not send anybody you love here. The tour they gave us was terrible. The outside was unkempt the entrance uninviting. The building a single story with two wings. I w short term stay one long term. The halls were cluttered with soiled linens, bags of clothing, tubs of medical gowns and supplies. The carpet in the hallways old and worn filthy looking. The rooms small tight and hot two to a room. The interior facilities were old run down not clean looking. Various clients were here there there looking totally lost. Noise everywhere and blaring televisions in the two common spaces. We were shown an outdoor. Cement two bench dead dry two foot grass here and there. Was told they were going to plant beets and cabbage as soon as the ladies get together, this was in July absolutely no shade and everything was dead and crispy dry from long ago. The smell and heat inside the building had my daughter covering her nose discreetly. When we went to leave we were give a code to get out. Door would not open an employee tried to open the door then another finally so wine came with a chair stood on it pulled a plug and then the other two put all their weight against the door to open it. We left the parking lot viewing not to have our family member places in such a filthy smelly run down place. The two nurses we did see looked exhausted overwhelmed and resigned to their jobs. Also forgot to mention what looked like bed begs laying dead on one floor. The photographs shown of the place are not real. We did not see one area shown in those photographs. Unfortunately just not real. Someone should assess this place it certainly is not as seen in the website. Every specific care question asked was answered with looks of confusion regarding expectations for a clients care. Just no, no, no do not out a loved one here it would be living death to their heart and soul Zero is the rating.

My friend is in Avamere at Pacific Ridge under palliative care. They're keeping her drugged, so that she's not uncomfortable. That's probably the best thing about it. The facility is not as clean as I would like. She does not have a private room, and she doesn't have a TV nor a radio. She's bedridden, and she's not really lucid. They just bring the food to her, and she hates it because she doesn't have a choice.
