AVIVA Baldwin Park - Independent Living

I decided to keep my mother at AVIVA Baldwin Park where she has been a resident for 20+ years. She loves her apartment. It's excellent. It is spacious. It is wheelchair accessible. The staff is extremely caring. My mother has always enjoyed dining downstairs in their beautiful setting for years. But since she is at this age, she receives her meal in her room for additional cost. She has housekeeping, which is included. Meals are included, too. It's a beautiful clean facility with any maintenance quickly done when needed. My mother has laundry services that can be provided as far as sheets and towels. And then if you need extra personal items, that's additional cost. But all in all, it's just been a wonderful facility. Everyone is very happy there. There are lots of activities for those that are active. There are concerts and musical performances in the evening, bingo and games in the afternoon, and the ladies sit around and have lots of clubs and activities. So it's a vibrant community, which my mother participated in up until 100.

We found AVIVA Baldwin Park for my mother-in-law. The relationship between staff and residents was strong. The facility is very clean. It provides a lot of amenities. They make three meals a day with several options, and you can get room delivery for your food. There are lots of activities for people and lots of chances to socialize. They're family-friendly. They're welcoming to visitors. They seem to care. I'm incredibly impressed. It's a little bit more expensive because it offers what it does. Also, the apartments there are bigger than the other places that my brother-in-law looked at with my mother-in-law. The staff was wonderful and kind. Everybody was fantastic. The food is very good. Everything was in good repair. It was very clean. The grounds were kept up nicely. The bushes and trees were all trimmed. The gym is very nice. The exercise area has good equipment for seniors. It was lovely. They've got a library that's nice with free use of the computer for the internet. The apartments were large and clean. It was well-maintained. When I walked in, I felt welcomed. It felt like a hotel. I went out of my way to talk to the residents, and all of them were glad to live there, and everybody I spoke to loved it. People seemed very, very happy. It's welcoming. It feels like family. It's a great place.
