"The oaks is a great place for your loved ones. They take elderly residents of 55 years or older. You have the option of going to parties, on day trips, going to exercise classes and playing bingo. If you are not completely independent you may have a nurse with you. It's a great location, right next to Giant and in a lovely neighborhood. The oaks also has a library, a beauty salon and a big community room. They also have bible study every thursday at 5:30. The management is very nice and personable. They have a woman who can fix just about anything. The people who live there are nice as well. I would definitely recommend this place. "

"The level of care for independent living was very high at Chancellor's Village. They offered a lot of services such as house cleaning and transportation to doctor's appointments or other places, as well as safety monitors in every room. I was very impressed with it. It was a very nice, well-equipped apartment. It had a washer and dryer. It had a separate bedroom, a kitchen, and a balcony, and that's really what we were looking for, like a traditional apartment. They offered one meal a day in a very nice dining room. The lady that gave us a tour was excellent. She answered all of our questions. They have morning exercises and they have Bible study groups. They have sing-alongs and a craft room with puzzles out on the table. They have an exercise room and a library. So, they have pretty much anything that you could want."

"We went to Alexander Heights, and we liked it very much. It’s the facility closest to my daughter. The apartment was very nice. It had a washer and dryer, a kitchen, one bedroom, and entrance to the bath from two different places. The price was average. They had recreation rooms, and everything about it was nice. "

"I am a resident of Falls Run by Del Webb. It's a very supportive environment. Supportive mainly with the homes that you live near people, like what they call them cul de sacs, so it kind of implies more supporting each other and making sure everybody is safe. We have what's called community communications, where the activities director brings in speakers to cover just about all styles of life, medical, travel, safety, and enforcement, and just about any subject you want to think of. We have people that come in and make presentations. We have two swimming pools, one inside, and one outside. We have tennis courts. We have pickleball courts. We have shuffleboard courts and we have horseshoes. We have an exercise room. Our conference rooms can be divided up into two individual meeting rooms. We have a billiards room. We have an outside veranda during the summer months outside activities. We have certified instructors, and physical conditioning instructors, and a lot of our leaders, such as myself, also lead certain exercise programs. By maintaining our communities as we do, we're able to keep those prices up for the most part, that's a pretty good deal."

"We live in Summerlake right now. It is an over 65 community and a wonderful place too, but it just doesn't have continuing care. This is just a community of seniors living in an area that is a gated community for seniors. We have movies and gatherings of various sorts where generally people bring refreshments and everybody contributes. It is more like a neighborhood arrangement of friends. One thing they can improve is to have an exercise room. "

"I moved into Harper's Station last year. They have a gourmet chef and the food is fantastic. Very friendly and helpful staff. They bathe me, they wash me, they put me to bed, they take me to food and everything. They have large rooms. I have two bedrooms, two full baths, and a kitchenette and living area. Everybody's friendly. It's a wonderful place to be. It looks like a very expensive hotel, very clean, pretty new, and they got two, huge dining halls here. They have a whole list of things from morning til the evening, and they have paid outside entertainers. I don't know of any other place where you can get, lobster tail and filet mignon, and they've got an Elvis Presley impersonator paid to come in, a professional guy. They have a barber shop, a swimming pool, and a workout area for exercise."
