My parents-in-law moved into Brandermill Woods. It's been fabulous. They pay very close attention to them. They're checking on them or, if they have difficulties, helping them out, the nurses come in and check on them. The apartment that they were in was absolutely beautiful. They have great and well-balanced meals. It was nicely presented, and the waitstaff was wonderful as well. We've also had the meals delivered to their apartment, which has been very good as well. They have something going on every day. I know my in-laws have participated in their church services and exercise program. They have a bridge club and watch movies. They take them shopping several times a week to different locations. They have a beauty parlor over there.

I visited Brandermill Woods. The apartments or rooms that I saw there were pretty dated, it seems like they hadn't been kept up to date. It was like moving back into the '70s. They offer $200 worth of meals a month which is way lower than other places I've gone to. The staff was very nice, very pleasant and knowledgeable. Their meal plan seems to be kind of weak, and their prices are pretty high compared to what you get.

I visited this facility on Mother's Day. It is beautiful and the residents seem happy. The staff that was there at that time were friendly and helpful. I called the next day and left a message and emailed the admissions director Mary and explained that my mother had surgery last week and we were looking for a rehabilitation facility for her THIS week. I never got a call back, I never got an email back. I find it extremely unprofessional to ignore the request of a family member who is clearly in a scary situation and looking for help for a loved one. If there was no space available a 30 second phone call would have sufficed to inform me so I could move on in my search. We were fortunate enough to find a perfect place for my mother where she'll be comfortable and cared for and all in all I am happy that she is not in a place where the upper level employees are so unconcerned with the needs of a potential resident to even return a phone call or an email.

I tend to think Brandermill Woods is a new high rise. They are not nearly as well staffed. They seem to be too few people of the size of things that they were dealing with. They have a number of cars and other vehicles to take people to the places they would like to go including taking them to the doctors. The rooms are almost as gorgeous as my own home, and I'm an architect and interior designer. They have a tennis court, swimming pool, and all kinds of gymnasium equipment. They have a walking path and just about anything you can possibly think about. The fact that nothing is ever closed -- it is like the security of a hotel. I haven't seen what I want to do there as yet.

Brandermill Woods is a Retirement community with on site individual cottages that are beautifully maintained. It also has a community house with apartments for assisted living . And across the street a nursing care facility and Alzheimers care wing. The community center has a lovely full service dining room and activities and exercise room and craft room, that keep everyone interested. My parents moved into a cottage recently. The electronic device on site for safety and check in service is easy to use and appreciated because my mother has Parkinson's and it is a relief to me to know if my dad is not home, mom has her fall necklace on and help is moments away. They have been more social now that they were living in their home. Dinners out with friends and clubs keep them social and active. Peace of mind and my parents happiness with where they are living is such a gift.
