My mother-in-law was in Highland Ridge Rehab Center LLC. They were very understaffed. She was in a dingy little room. Even though we took her clothes there when we were going to visit, there were never any clothes in her closet. The room was always a mess. She was not happy at all there. She would cry and want to go home. It was not somewhere I would want to leave my loved ones. She was there for about 3-4 months. She didn't like the food there for some reason. She was always hungry. They had some activities, but they were so understaffed that they couldn't get everybody who wanted to participate. They had a a lot of room for improvement. I guess they did the best that they could with the staff that they had. Everywhere is understaffed right now. They just don't have enough people to take care of the people and the upkeep of the buildings. She did not get what we were paying for. She was paying $345 a day for a dingy little room with nothing in it, and they couldn't even keep her clothes clean. They wouldn't get their money's worth there.

Since new owners took over, someone from NY, they reduced staff, smelled like piss, didn't clean rooms often, no staff on off shifts to answer red light calls or help feed. Big change over in staff, especially when nurses graduate, people hollar for staff and sometimes come, no janitorial services on off shift, never see Dr., they say he comes in at 5-6 am, that's crap I waited 3 mornings and no show, food is catered, not cooked fresh, if a patient goes to hospital, have to pay extra to keep room, family HAS to help out to ensure good care. It's the worst
