"My husband is at Radford Health and Rehab. They're doing such a great job, and they're watching him. They discovered that he's very weak, but he's trying to get out of bed, so they put floor pads on both sides of the bed so he wouldn't hurt himself if he fell. They're always looking for how to keep a person safe and monitor a person. We had the whole team in the room yesterday, and each one told us how things are going and what to expect. They've been very helpful because we're trying to get Medicaid for him. They've been so good to us and my husband. Their food is nutritious. The floors sparkle, you don't smell anything, and it's very clean. They decorated the place for Halloween and it's lovely. All he's doing there is rehab."

"I have been to a couple of places and one of them is Carrington. I found that their staff is poorly supervised and they were understaffed. The place itself is well maintained. It was clean and relatively new. I dined in their assisted living area and it left me a negative impression because there were a lot of people that sat there and they were not eating and they didn’t have assistance. "

"I have a person i love very much at this facility . The first thing i noted after passing through the entry way onto the floor was the smell. It would be totally impossible not to experience some unpleasant odors if a nursing home but it smelled really good and clean. The second thing i noticed was the pleasantness and friendliness of the staff . They greeted me as if they had known me always. They were kind. Pleasant ,helpful and not just to visitors but to the pati ents. When i saw Tiny Underwood, patsy Blair and Susan Viars it put my mind at ease. I had a relative at pulaski when tiny worked there and I was able to rest easy when i saw her in hillsville Shes ontop of things , hard working kind and joyful with everyone she meets. I havent meet one unpleasant staff person in all my visits. The facility is clean and caregivers are actually giving care. Good care. My only issue is i felt like the rooms are a little small for 2 people . Also i wish there was a way to make the rooms look more like home and less like a nursing home room. Even as small as they are there ought to be a creative way to decorate the rooms with personal items. I love the bird feeders and the front porch. Overall I was pleased at what I saw . "

"There were multiple things that I liked about The Wybe & Marietje Kroontje Health Care Center It was near my home so I could go check on Mom every day, and it was a nice facility. It was well cared for. It's clean. The nursing care was good. We had no complaints. The rehab, the physical therapy, and OT, and its facilities were right there down the hall from where Mom was, and they did a great job with her. They were all very conscientious. The food was a little bit lacking. I tried it one time, and it was just kind of so-so, but I might have been there for a bad meal. Not everybody cooks great every day. Mom didn't participate in the activities, she just wasn't feeling up to it, but they had activities, because I was there when I would go visit her, and I would see them working with the patients. They had group activities as well as PT, OT, and things like that. They also had a courtyard and a covered area for drop off and pick up in front of the front doors. They had very nice facilities outside and inside."

"My husband has been living in Heritage Hall Blacksburg for seven weeks now. I think he really likes it. It's very clean and the food is good. They pay attention to his rehab as well. The staff helps him with his dressing, as well as going to the bathroom and dining room. They're very nice and helpful. They have music, puppies, and games. The rooms are large, sunny and private."
