I liked Lake View Apartments. It's on the lower level, not upstairs, and all the apartments are flats. It's pretty big and roomy. I liked the two bedrooms, they were good. They got two-inch blinds, and the refrigerators were white. I thought they were supposed to be stainless steel, but they're white. The countertops are good, but I kind of wish they had more upgrades, like, stainless steel appliances. The staff doing the tour is very friendly and courteous. They have activities for you to do during the week, and they have vans that come through and take you to the store once a month or something. The property is clean.

The maintenance is prompt and capable however it doesn't make up for certain other lacks. Although there are walkways which are generally safe, there are huge areas where there is no vegetation where there should at least be grass. These areas flood and erode frequently getting the parking areas very muddy. Also, the ONLY internet and cable provider is Suddenlink which inexplicably increases seemingly on a whim.. My cable and internet went up somewhat gradually the first 10 months, but the beginning of the second year it jumped by $10 in one month to over $20 more dollars the next month. My current bill is $193.00 which includes 1 TIVO, 1 secondary basic and 1 internet connection that was originally $135.00/month. That's a big increase and there is NO competition. Anyone who lives here is on a fixed (low) income as these are low-income units so this is not a viable "deal" in anyway.

Iam a resident at Lakeview Apts Tyler I give this living facility one star based on several inadequacies related to active senior residents.

I have my own apartment in Lakeview Senior. It is cheaper. I have a provider that comes and cleans it for me. It's got all appliances in the kitchen. They have a maintenance man. If I need something I just call. We have an exercise room, a swimming pool, a beauty salon. I thought it was reasonably priced. It's one of the reasons why I live here.
