Azalea Trails Assisted Living & Memory Care was a wonderful experience. I felt them to be very warm, inviting, and cozy. They're very family-oriented and friendly. The apartments were warm and inviting. The staff who gave the tour was knowledgeable and informative. I toured the place, but I didn't try their food. I met their activities director. She was extremely energetic. She told me the different things that they offered, and the things they offered for the men sounded like my dad would fit right in.

I visited and I love the courtyard. The staff was all friendly, very professional, very engaging, and very kind. They seemed to care about the residents. It's very clean, very modern, well laid out overall, and had good structure. The layout was very good, but they were significantly smaller rooms than the other ones I toured.

It was nice. I visited their assisted living for my mom and it didn't seem like anybody was there. Everybody was in their room whereas in the other place we looked at, it was more like a community which I liked. They had happy hours and stuff like that but I didn't see anybody there. I thought the grounds were very beautiful though. The room I saw was very nice, and the person who accommodated me was very nice and knowledgeable. It just didn't seem social. It might have been just the time that I was there but I didn't see anybody out and about like you do at other places. It did seem like it was more upscale compared to other places I've seen.
