Our residents are in their 80's and 90's. They like to play games, do puzzles, participate in arts & crafts, sit outside on our patio and porch, watch birds and other wildlife, watch movies/TV, and eat!

Our residents are watched over and engaged constantly. We have regularly-scheduled activities in the morning and the afternoon. We provide our residents with safety, security, dignified care, and peace of mind.

We operate a very family-friendly home where residents' families are able and encouraged to visit their loved ones at any time and join them for meals. Residents can continue to use their own mobile phones or use the house phone to talk with family. We also frequently post photos and videos of our residents in action. Finally, we are available any time to discuss with our residents' families their loved one's health condition and care plan.

We accept small dogs and cats on a case-by-case basis. Pets would be expected to stay with the resident or in the resident's room. We have a large outdoor area consisting of grass and tress available as well.

Our property is carefully monitored and managed. All entry/exit doors are visible to staff at all times. While we do not accept residents who are elopement risks, we utilize surveillance tools including security cameras, alarm systems, motion detectors and a wireless central monitoring system to provide for the safety and security of our residents.

Residents participate in daily physical, mental, and social activities including morning walks, exercise class, trivia games, word games, puzzles, and arts & crafts. Staff are expected to become very familiar with each residents' background, experience, and health issues and tailor interactions accordingly.

Who assesses residents' health and cognitive functioning? How often is that assessment repeated?

Our administrator and staff RN conduct the initial assessment of all incoming residents and chart the health condition of all residents on a daily and weekly basis. Formal assessments are repeated every six months.

We do not accept residents who are elopement risks or are combative as a result of disease progression from dementia and Alzheimers. All of our residents, including those with more significant memory loss, live and eat together in our small friendly community and each one is treated commensurate with their needs with the utmost level of dignity and respect.

Crownridge is a small, quiet affluent area located in northwest San Antonio. Community development is carefully planned so as to preserve the landscape and charm of the Texas Hill Country. We are located just outside of several residential neighborhoods and are between the Crownridge Banquet Hall and the Oak Hills Church office building. There is a Lutheran school a few blocks to the west and a prominent golf course view to the south.

Our locally owned and operated assisted living home specializes in offering compassionate care in a smaller homelike setting where residents feel comfortable and secure. We are dedicated to really knowing each of our residents on a personal level and tailoring the care we provide to their unique individual needs and create those special moments of joy!

At BeeHive Homes of Crownridge in San Antonio, we offer the finest assisted living experience available in a cozy, comfortable homelike setting. Each of our residents has their own spacious room with a bathroom and shower. We prepare and serve delicious home-cooked meals three times a day every day. We maintain a small, friendly community of only 16 residents per home. We provide regular activities that our residents find fun and contribute to their health and well-being. Our staff is attentive and caring and provides assistance with daily activities to our residents in a loving and respectful manner.

We are big enough to be licensed and regulated by the State of Texas and provide our residents with a healthy amount of socialization yet small enough to offer a more flexible family-friendly assisted living experience for our residents and their families.

Our floor plan is designed to flow and feel like a home rather than a hotel so our kitchen and dining room are open and inviting and resident rooms are just down the short hallway from our common living areas.
