This is a very nice facility. When I visited Lovett Place, I found the cleanliness to be suitable. You can actually have your mother or father reside there. The staff was really pleasant, and I had an opportunity to talk to some of the families of residents and they seemed very pleased. The restroom was very clean, as were the dining rooms. They had nursing staff on call for the residents. The resident room that I saw was a double-sized room (probably 10 by 10 or 12 by 12), but only one person was staying there at the time. It was really clean "“ housekeeping was doing their job. They have 24-hour security there as well. It's on a bus line, and there are restaurants, grocery stores, and novelty shops in the area. This facility feels homelike, and it's really not that expensive to live there. There are places where residents can walk. They have flowerbeds as well in the grounds. They are planning to incorporate a garden at some point too. There are shaded areas to sit outside. One of the residents said they allow personal furniture and their own kitchenette. They have the option to live with a roommate or alone. They help them with medication management, bathing, and other activities. They also have 24-hour transportation to take residents to doctor's appointments, etc. The food looked really good, though I didn't taste any of it. The residents have the options to cook their own meals if they aren't pleased with what the facility is serving that day. It looked like a very nutritious meal "“ Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, corn, cabbage, and a choice of wheat and white bread, plus a salad. They do organize activities for the residents "“ they set up game nights for Bingo, backgammon, and cards, and they also have exercise classes.

The Lovett Place assisted living community in Houston Texas is a very nice facility. We visited the Lovett Place to try and find a suitable living facility for our mother and father. When we visited the staff was very nice to me and my family and everything seamed to be in order. The facility was clean and there were many features that we liked including the on site nurse and the emergency call system that they had in place for the residents. We also really like the fact that they offered furnished units because that is exactly what we were looking for.
