"I moved into Lake Forest Village. I chose them because of the attitude of all their employees here. They made you feel very comfortable. My apartment is one of the smallest ones, but it's comfortable. The food is excellent. The staff, including everyone I've interacted with, has been very helpful and polite. The facility looks like it's very well-maintained. It seems like they take pride in this place. I haven't gotten into the activities yet, but they have quite a few available to me. As for the value, it's in line with everybody else. It's not overpriced, but it's not underpriced."

"Teresa's House has gone the extra mile for my family. I cannot thank the staff and management enough. Godwin and his team are second to none. I sure wish we had known about Teresa's House sooner. Unfortunately, our experience with another facility was NOT even close to the care and comfort we received at Teresa's House. I wish I could rate this a 10-star facility!!! They deserve 10 stars not five. We need more businesses that care about their clients like Teresa's House."

"My mom moved to The Mustang Creek Estates of Flower Mound. I loved everything about it. I loved the way they had it set up for the tenant. I loved that the staff have been very helpful and inviting. I love the programs that they have set for the tenants. They've answered every question that we've needed answered, and they've helped us with every step that we've needed help with. So, I highly recommend them. When I went in yesterday, they had live music entertainment for the residents."

"My mother-in-law moved into Avanti Senior Living at Flower Mound. She is in assisted living, but when we checked out assisted living places we also made sure to look at memory care, because she'll eventually go to memory care. What I really like about Avanti's assisted living is that my mother-in-law was able to get a room with a little private patio. She loved to sit outside, so that was a game-changer there, and the people are wonderful. A staff member, I don't know what her title is, checks on us, and she's always available, and so is the nurse who's on call there. The facility is always clean. It always smells good. They have flowers out and it's very pleasant."

"Right now, I am at Lewisville Estates, and I like it a lot. It has been really good. I have been here for about six weeks or 2 months now. The food is really good. There is always a lot of stuff going on every day like bingo. "

The room was very beautiful. He was going to share a room with another man, but it was possible to get a private room."

"I visited Sterling House for my mom. Everything was great there. With regards to activities, during my visit, they had two or three people doing something. It was a great facility; however, their price was a little bit more than with the other facility. "

"Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living was wonderful. It's one of the facilities that we're going to present to Mom. There was quite a bit of staff. Everybody was upbeat as far as what they're doing. There was a couple of them that let us come in and look at their place. They really didn't have one to show, but that was OK, as long as it was OK with them. We did that, and it was fine. Actually, that was a good idea, because you could see what was going on and how things were laid out. The rooms weren't really big, but they always had stuff to do, and they were encouraged to volunteer if they wanted more to do, so that was good. We saw a one-bedroom and a studio. There were people in there, but they were very clean. Some of them had a lot of stuff in them, but that's OK, that's where they're living. The staff was wonderful. The guy was very upbeat. They took us around to see everybody in the dining room to see the courtyards and stuff, so I think we saw everything, even the hair salon."

"My father-in-law is at The Retreat at Carrollton. It's very good. He's doing well. He is well cared for. The place is very nice and very clean. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. We are happy with it. He has a studio apartment, which is a small one, but it's the perfect size. It has a very large bathroom and has more storage than I realized at first. He's got a little patio, and he's overlooking the swimming pool. It's a really gorgeous location, very bright and cheerful. There are several different floor plans. There are a couple of different studios, and then there are one-bedrooms. They have a lot of activities. He doesn't really participate in them, but they have ice cream socials, take people out on trips, and provide transportation to doctors' appointments. They had a nice New Year's Eve party with live music, and they're always busy. They have a little flyer that they hand out every day of all the different activities for the day. Everybody seems really happy with the food. He's not eating very much there, but everybody seems quite content. The kitchen staff is very helpful."

"I had a pleasant visit at Sunrise of Frisco. The place looked good and the staff was great. It had a basic design but big enough rooms for my mother, and everything was OK. They have a place for social events and different rooms for gatherings. For what they need, I think it was good. They also have different activities throughout the week to try to keep them active."
