"I visited The Legacy at Crystal Falls because it's right down the street from me. I like it. It was very clean. I like the assisted living rooms. The PT area looked good, and the common areas were nice. It's assisted living, but I don't know if my aunt is a candidate for that. The facility was nice, and the staff members were very nice, informative, and professional."

"I like the fact that the rooms at Brookdale Round Rock were carpeted. It felt warmer and cozier. I liked that better. In general, it was very clean, very nice, and the staff was very nice also. I went at nap time, so it's kind of hard to tell about the actual residents, but everyone was fine. It was lovely. They have a nice little dining area there. The community area is smaller. It doesn't have a big TV area or anything. There are only 11 rooms, which is good, because there's a lot of individual care. It's very intimate. The residents' rooms are a good size. They're well laid out. They have a little kitchenette area with a little dorm-size refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, and a sink. I know that's something that my aunt would appreciate, just to have her own snacks and stuff in there."

"Verena at Leander is exquisite. It's an independent living community, and it was beautiful. It had transportation, food, and everything was included. I think they also have an exercise room and a library. The person who gave the tour was very friendly and very informative. The residents seemed very active, too. It would definitely be beyond my mother's means, and I think she is also no longer at that stage of independent living. I think she kind of needs a place that's between independent living and a nursing home."

"My husband entered Arden Court 3-6-2020. It was one week before the COVID quarantine. I have not been able to visit for 4 months. The staff has been so helpful to keep me updated about his care. We chose this facility because it was for Alzheimer’s and dementia only. Lots of appropriate activities and outdoor space to roam safely. The staff is open to FaceTime and my husband always is well groomed and appropriately dressed when I call. My husband was a doctor and knowing him he would approve of this positive ,we’ll run, welcoming facility."

"The Clairmont was very welcoming. As we approached the building, there were walkers outside, there were people there, and they greeted you. It's clean. The person who gave us the tour was fabulous. We went through and saw a couple of different units. We selected a two-bedroom unit. It needed a little bit of work, so they're getting that taken care of. We went back afterward on another date and played bingo and met some of the people that live there. My mom is just going to fit in there perfectly. Everyone was helpful. They answered any questions that we had. We saw the menu, and the food looked fabulous. Everybody said the food was fabulous, but I haven't physically tried the food."

"I was the caregiver for a former resident who passed away in the summer of 2023. The resident was a family friend and he was a resident at A Serene Setting for about 2 years. I was very pleased with the care and attention provided by the staff at A Serene Setting. The entire staff was excellent and did a great job of caring for my friend. I highly recommend A Serene Setting."

"This place is amazing. Our family toured and looked at numerous facilities for my Grandparents that were both in their 90's. My Grandparents have been here since the Fall of 2024. They both received such excellent care. My Grandmother passed in Jan. of 2025 and my Grandfather is very thankful for his new home now that he no longer has his girlfriend and bride of 74 years. This facility makes wonderful meals; they have great areas if you want to have a family function. We celebrated Christmas and brought in a full menu and used a kitchen area with dining room to celebrate in. I have been to the facility many times with family, by myself to visit and with my husband and children. Every time the Staff have been kind, gracious, answered any questions I had and seen to every need. I wish I could give more stars. I am so thankful that my Grandfather has a safe, comfortable, and clean place to live out his last years with people who have servant hearts as big as Texas!"

"The staff member at Brookdale North Austin was very, very helpful. It was Britney that I was talking to, she helped me with all kinds of information. I was concerned with the price and how I was going to work with Medicare, and she was telling me how things work out. She went through the process of how the system works and gave me other information. Her primary focus was to make sure that my mom received the best care whether we chose her facility or not. The place was clean and friendly, the staff was engaging with the clients regularly, and they knew everybody's name. The rooms and all the common areas were very clean. I felt like my mother would be safe there. The facility itself is older, but they're taking care of it."

"I liked the look of it and the location. I also liked the fact that my brother goes to church and there's a church at the end of that block. I thought that was all convenient, but before I do any of that, he is going to have to get on Medicaid because his income isn't enough to cover even the efficiency apartment or whatever it is that doesn't even have a separate bedroom (the bed would actually be in the living room). I liked the fact that they had so many activities there and it was a very tranquil setting. It didn't have the appearance of a nursing home type facility. It is independent living, but they have medical staff there that comes in occasionally. I also liked the fact that there was an emergency center right across the street so that if there was any kind of emergency, they could just be shuttled right across the street for care. The staff during the tour had been there eight years. She'd been there long enough to kind of know the place pretty well, and know the people who lived there, and kind of give me an idea of how people adjust when they get there. They take them on field trips and stuff like that. The only thing I noticed was they had a gym there and they had a TV in the gym, which I thought was nice, but they only had one exercise bike there, so only one person at a time could exercise. It may be sufficient, but I feel like if somebody walked over there and then they couldn't get on the exercise bike, that they would just turn around and leave and not exercise for the day."

"Asher Pointe Senior Living of Austin was wonderful. It was a beautiful place, but a little far for me. The person who assisted me during the tour was wonderful. He explained things quite well. I didn't meet that many staff, but they were very kind."

"I have already moved into The Conservatory at North Austin. The management and the other residents are friendly. The management seems to be very involved with the residents and with the running of the facility. They offered numerous, numerous activities. I'm very comfortable that I made the right decision. They come and clean your place every other week. With the cable service that I have for my TV, I have more channels than I would ever watch. They're very good. They have a beauty salon where they do perms, colors, and haircuts, and they have a garden. They have a landscaping committee. Today it's National Airplane Day, and they're having a 'make-your-airplane.' This weekend they're having a Latin's Day with music and guitar. They're involved like yesterday the CEO was in the dining room shampooing carpets. They stop and speak to us every time they pass by. They ask how things are going and if you feel very comfortable. You can come to them if you have a question. I just find them very involved. I've only been here a couple of weeks, but I don't have any complaints."

"It was a very warm and hospitable environment. I enjoyed lunch with my friend who I came to visit and got to take advantage of seeing happy hour events. Everyone was smiling and enjoying the music and food/drinks. It seemed like somewhere I could see myself living eventually."

"Amberlin Georgetown was friendly. It was clean and well-planned out. Everybody was nice. It was a staff member who gave us a tour and she went out of her way, practically, to make sure we saw what we wanted. They had a coffee bar and self-service stuff. It wasn't that expensive but we didn't have to pay extra for two people in the apartment, and I like that. We got to talk a lot more with residents when we went there. Everybody was so welcoming and that made you comfortable right away. It was a very nice place and we almost signed the contract."
